I look at this now and its quite obviouly the island, they dangle it in your face. But the firat time i watched this, seeing the plane, was a huge WTF moment. The only problem with this, and i know im picking at petty continuity errors, how the plane breaks up here (positioning and stuff) doesn't work with how the tail section crashed at the beginning of "The Other 48 Days"

Everytime i see this, when the plane crashes I get chills up my spine, thinking about all the people on the plane, and what they have and will endure in coming seasons, god I love this show!

lol, this song still makes me think of that episode of Seinfeld when George doesn't know what his assignment is at work but can't ask his boss, and he thinks this song is a cryptic hint his boss gives him about the project... the scene with Jerry and George in the coffeeshop analyzing the song line by line.... Seinfeld and Lost... two of my favorite TV shows of all time.

Such a great opening. Just like the opening of season 2, you just don't think this is taking place on the Island, and than it zooms out and you are like wtf! Really good writers!

I know, I love that!!! Like how they show Ethan's body working on Juliet's plumbing (woah, that came out wrong....), but you don't see his face until you see the plane and realize its the island... and how they pan out so dramatically to show a full civilized community on the island!!!!! Brilliant!!! Can't wait for Season 6!!!

What a great opening, this was for sure a WTF moment for the show. I remember thinking that when I saw Ben walk out of the house, especially when the plane broke up and then when you saw the wreckage from afar. I was like "WTF!"

And boy, you best watch Season 3 as soon as it comes out, it's my favorite season, and if you haven't heard, the season 3 cliff hanger was AMAZING.

DUDE! For anyone who saw "Every Man For Himself" pause it at the very end. You can see how the two plumes of smoke are emanating from a whole other island. They showed us right from the start that this was not the same island and NOBODY CAUGHT IT!
