  • @screamolives kind of answered the question here, as @covidiu implies. Girls stop cycling 'cos their view of life is so restricted to their own little cultural world. The trouble is, politicians and policy-makers are often just as narrow-minded. And the point is not to accept and adapt to a crap policy but to change it.

  • As a male, I will say there is something special/ charming about a lady on a bicycle. I live in Australia and we have the lowest percentage of female cyclists in the world with only 21% of cyclists being female. Since half the population are women, this is a problem.

  • rriiihhhhiiiiiighhhht

  • depends on how far the school is...

  • girls(and boys) need to be educated on better looking, faster, more functional bikes...

  • the older we get the more interested we are about learning to drive a car, our area might not be the best place for cycling. Who wants to go out and finally having reached your destination feeling sweaty and hair out of place, girls are generally more concerned about the media as it's shoved in their face more... rather than a bicycle lol. There's nothing about a bike that shouts out to you apart from a little ride on a sunny day during the holidays.

  • This video is so fucking annoying. lol

Girls 'stop' cycling because we have more priorities, if we have spare money we wont spend it on a new bike. Also being forced to cycle on the road seems threatening to some of us, also depending on what clothes we wear it might not be able to cycle without getting oil on our trousers or coats, when we go out it's not to go out and play but more for socialising at night with friends, movability of bikes are annoying.

  • @screamolives Obviously, you've never been to The Netherlands. It is entirely possible to ride a bike without getting oil on your clothes, and many girls here use bicycles to go shopping or go to a restaurant or whatever. Riding a bicycle at 15 km/h won't get you sweaty and won't mess up your hair any more than a normal walk would.

  • we have never stopped cycling!

  • haha..but it could take you a long time to get to school...

  • @BeautyandtheBike takes me half the time to get to college on my bike than it dose in a car or bus, and thats cruising speed!
