@nocontrol628 Fuck Off you idiot, tell you what go and try touching the baby and see who's hand comes off then. Just I pity it wouldn't be your head, goddam waste of good oxygen people like you are.
i have a gsd and we have a big fur problem. whatever i did i can't stop fur moulting. as i see in your video your gsd seems to be very healty with no fur moulting. how can you prevent your gsd from fur moulting?
I have a black lab (and I used to have a german shepherd actually) and he is as SWEET as can be; he's never growled at ANYONE and has NEVER bit anyone intentionally. The thing is, he also likes to play tug of war, and he has accidentally bit me. I would never let a baby play tug o' war with my dog EVER even though he's the sweetest on the planet, just because my black lab is clumsy and might accidentally bite when playing like that.
This is how my dog is, she is so easy going, we have been practicing for when baby comes, we pull her paws, tug on her tail and fur, and put our hands by her mouth constantly. They are such gentle dogs especially with such great caring owners and they are part of the family. And exactly, supervision is key but don't call someone stupid or a horrible parent because you don't know them or the animal. Its rude and hurtful.
The worst my GSD has done to my kids is knock them down as they won't let go of his tail as he makes a retreat to a safer location....He is very good with my kids.
Owners really have to distingquish that a dog is a dog, will always be a dog. A baby is a baby. A baby, will not and can not rip a hand off someone. A DOG can. No matter how well anyone thinks they may have trained the DOG, the owner can never predict the mind set of the dog and what he/she is thinking. Such as getting a bone removed so closely by a child's hand. They can snap if they feel like it and the child will lose a hand or bit in the face.
@RockinMetal10 Shut up. Go somewhere else and complain. I'm pretty sure the owner ALWAYS supervises them together and if the dog got even the least bit aggressive, they would get the dog away from the baby. Don't just assume the owner is stupid for having both a dog AND a baby. God forbid somebody actually has pets AND children, what a crime.
@NeckTie92 - Wow. What words you have. Obviously a JERK, lol. I don't need to "shut" anything up, I can write what I like. To be taking my comment so personally, maybe you are the one with the dog brain. The brain cells only travel so far and can do so much to be such a defender of stupidity. I never said people should'nt have pets and children. They should'nt be retarded about the situation. You don't entice a dog that has the nature to be agressive (IF IT WANTS TO) with a tiny child.
@NeckTie92@NeckTie92 - Because it's an owner of a dog like that, that is ignorant about the type of dog they have in the first place. So, doe'snt matter to me any. Not my kid. If they want to be retarded, that's thier issue. But when the kid gets hurt bad by the dog's brain that reacted instictually ( THE OWNER DOES NOT HAVE A DOGS BRAIN THEREFORE CANNOT PREDICT AN INSTICTUAL REACTION-AND IF THEY DO, WELL CONGRATULATIONS). If the kid gets harmed in anyway hopefully he gets sent to foster care
@goof713 -lol. Clicking on some videos, just like the next person- (in which case, stop being such a moron since what you wite is ESSENTIALLY what you are doing only taking it a step further by feeling you must get so personally involved by defending morons who make such idiotic videos.
wow that is crazy i would never do that and your dog must be well trained to let someone take a bone from him my dog well idk what he will do and i dont wanna find out lol
No, this is no problem. My GSD would react the same way if I took his bone. The GSD in this video knows the child. If the child were a stranger, then yes, all bets are off.
when i was 9 i got bit in my face out of nowhere by my nans gsd and he had been a lovely dog, something in him snapped. Im not saying at all that every dog or your dog in the clip is like that but i would never in a million years let my son at that age take a bone of a dog as your never 100% sure your dog wont snap. Like i say im not judging you at all but i wouldnt go on instinct in this respect with a dog involved,
@kammi6586 No, they don't. Not when they're properly domesticated anyway, and this video is a perfect example of a brilliantly trained gentle dog. I swear, there's paranoid people like you on every animal video on Youtube. Don't be calling someone an idiot for a reason they're clearly not guilty of.
One more comment about the awesome GSD.....we can take the bone out of our GSD's mouth, his name is Ruger, and theres no growling, biting or teeth showing....German Shepherds are a WONDERFUL family dog, and I recommend them to every one with kids of all ages!!!
GSD are the most loving, care worthy, gentle, trusting dog(besides a Dobie). I have a 12month old GSD, he is one of a kind. Because, I know from experience...I also have a 3 yrs old daughter who LOVES to dress him in play clothes, her play jewelry, and yes princess tiaras! She pulls on his tail, which I dont not allow my daughter to do, but when it does happen our GSD does nothing, just looks at my daughter and licks her.
My GSD is brilliant with children, obviously we'd never leave them unattended together and my nieces are educated on the responsibility of caring for dogs. Lovely video.
i love how careful the GSD was when he tried gentlely to take the bones back yet not to touch the baby's hand <3333333 i thought my dog was the only one who does that!
This is too cute~~ My shepherds (5 and 3) are running away from my 9 months, coz he bullies them all the time, pulling their hair~~and slap their face. German Shepherds are the best dogs to kids
For those of you responding about the dangers. Rest assure. We did not put a 1 year old baby next to a GSD one day as a surprise. The baby and dog were slowly introduced to each other. They gradually got to the point where they are at on the video over several months of acclimation.
I remember my first 8-9 Years of living i spent a step below in hierarchy under our german sheperd. My parents tought diffrent, but my sisters didn`t :)
The dog has an amazing temperament, but you should never allow a baby to do this to any dog. You must teach a baby boundaries and how to interact and play with dogs in a correct manner. Not all dogs have this temperament when it comes to their toys, bones, or food, even this face to face contact the baby has with the dog can be viewed as an advance by the baby. (in a dogs mind) I applaud the dog for having such an amazing temperament, and to the owners for obviously training him so well.
