How much does a used Hammond b3 run for these days? My grandfather is a former baptist minister and his church was connected to their house while he was in service, which had a hammond b3 in it. Whenever i went to visit them, i'd try to sneak into the church and jam on it, but they didnt allow me to play on it since the organ lady didnt want her setting messed with. I can respect that and will keep the presets, i just wanna jam for an hour.
I could sit back and quit ever playing again.... wish I had your chops man...and I'm not to shabby on the B3 btw..... greatness in your style man. Much respect.
Do I ever miss him....I used to hit gigs with Foster--no fun quite like that fun. He was just as much a blast off the stage as he was on. Bass lines were rock-solid, could handle any tempo, energy for days, and the most incredible ears. he had so much history up in him, too. The biggest fun I had was playing with him in CHURCH, though. His singing is totally UNDERRATED. The man was a monster! And I was blessed to have met and worked with Him. See you in heaven, Jimmy!
I remember seeing this video on your site (?) years ago - - In retrospect, its such a great thing you captured him in action... So many greats have simply left the planet with barely a trace... Really sad...

That is just about the best organ sound I've heard. I just love the distortion -- he had it dialed in just right.

Wow! Great playing! Did you ever notice that your right hand looks like a running spider when you play quickly?
