My baby's fooling around with a satellite-- on ham radio! What a cool song that any ham should appreciate. Who would have thought that by 1960 Amateur radio satellites would be in orbit? The AMSAT type satellites up today do more than just beep.
This tune is fantastic and campy. I cant' help but think the whole "space" thing is a metaphor for being "high" on something. It really is a sort of electronica song with it's beeps and boops that give the tune such a lively and funky nature.

Geez, it reminds me of a modern day song about a guy getting his girlfriends answering machine all day.

A great tune, from an era of innocence in the dawning space age.

@rawmuse Far from innocence at that time. Ask Hef.

Trivia:
This song was one of the wake-up tunes for the crew of the Space Shuttle Columbia during STS-93 (1999).
Brilliant choice :)

@iuguolovos I get that. However this drunk fool knows we need to learn from the past because to ignore it would be folly.
Haha! I said "folly"! Check off another world scavenge point!

I HATE this Louie Prima song. Possibly his worst song. It's silly and just plain annoying.
