I never thought this was very dark. I don't think it's even in a minor key, but it's hard for me to tell with 16-bit music sometimes. Don't get me wrong, this is a great theme, I like it. I like it a lot, in fact. It just doesn't sound very dark, the way you'd expect a dark world theme to sound.

@MetalThrasherr It was re-released on GBA, and if you have the Wii console you can download it from the Virtual Console service. Also, I think the 3DS has it's own Virtual Console, but that may be only for handheld titles, I don't know.

Just imagine the situation, you were used to see a simple Link named character dressed in green and attempting to rescue a princess and save a land just because he was meant to do it, you could travel the world but it was empty and a linear journey, but in alttp, right when you thought it was the end, when you tried to save the princess, you were sent to a dark realm, it was a WHOLE NEW WORLD, THE BIGGEST PLOT TWIST IN ZELDA TO DATE!!

There is an SNES emulator called ZSNES, download it, then after you downloaded it then google "The Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The Past Rom", It should be in "Coolroms" or "Doperoms". After you've downloaded the rom then drag the rom into the zsnes emulator (make sure you choose the rom that ends in "smc.").

I think 'Dark World' is a great song. That's when you warp to the Dark World after you defeat Agahnim. You can wander around in the Dark World and defeat some enemies. If you get stucked in the Dark World, you have to use the magic mirror to return to the Light World.
