Quite possibly one of the fastest and smallest window managers around... it loads quite quickly, and is good to have on a server if you need X support.
he could have used an external dvd drive for example or he used a removable memory stick if the motherbord supports it - sorry for my english i´m german
no he did not just put a PC in a lego box there is no case on the components the legos are the case and he atleast took the time to get everything in order but it kinda sux i was thinking u could still have the fan on the side with the holes inn it and that would enable u to have a better procesor so u can run like win 98 or somthin and maybe al ittle more ram so u can have atleast a crapy game on it and i bet u could sell it on ebay for quite a bit
Well it's good but to be perfectly honest it IS just a PC ENCASED in lego. Unless you just got the components (HDD, CD drive, motherboard etc.) and stuck them in the box, although to me it looks like the average PC (in a case already) inside a lego box.
I mean it's good, but the title is a little misleading and disappointing.
it wont melt, its a medium strength plastic, it can handle heat, i imagine if there was no ventilation at all, it would eventually warp the lego a little, but it does not appear to be a high powered model, so it should be fine
i made a lego pc but it was the size of a full tower and had a server board in it lOL the only mb iv ever seen that has 8 dimm slots on it and supported like 1gb on a 10 year old pc ......lolzors
Those dont exactly look like standard size legos... Where did u get a motherboard and power supply small enough to fit? Also check out my video of my lego computer.
the motherboard was a Mini-itx (17x17 Centimeters) and the PSU is a unit designed for Mini-itx. Both are rather expensive (the psu he had being Aus$125!!) so yeah. there's more projects at Mini-itx . com (Remove spaces) You can also buy your stuff there too... (Brits own the site)
could have at least been colour coded or look like a house or something. and damn who cares about how to plug in cables or how to turn it on or if hdd makes clicking noises

Course he does. Every computer these days do or else they overheat.
dos195 2 years ago
Actually, no, he doesn't need a fan. That's a "mobile CPU" made by VIA, and he said it was "passively cooled".
iamgreaser 2 years ago
Oh I see. I stand corrected. But it doesn't hurt to have extra cooling, right?
