Watchmen Review

@jmaley3 Well when the narrator does the female voices... I just couldn't finish the motion comic because of the IMO subpar voice work. I had read that Watchmen will be one of the DC comics available for downloading on an E-Book Reader, I just can't imagine how bits like the Veidt Marketing letters on the Watchmen toy figures, Under The Hood, The New Frontiersman articles, The Treasure Island Treasury of Comics article on The Black Freighter comics etc will translate on an E-Book reader. :-(

i loved this the animation part was great the narration was good up untill the sex scene my sister toght i was watching gay po rn she was in the next room . get a female to do it or at least get a voice actor who can do good fem voices ,

Ever heard a book on tape? They always have a single narrator doing all the voices. Same here. It is not a cartoon with multiple actors doing voices.

I really loved the music throughout. The narration was superb. When narrating the female characters it was kind of hard to take seriously. Doc Manhattans enhanced voice made me geek out. Since it's the comic completely uncut I have to say 5/5 10/10. So fucking cash.

Ok the original ending isn't in the movie as it really wouldnt translate too well on the big screen..even though I would have liked to see it included anyway. There is really no dialogue changes in the movie it stays extremely true to the comic and there is NO 4 hour movie coming out. Supposedly theres a 3hr and 20 min Dir. Cut being released with the dvd.

Its the comic, but its not the same as the book. They cut out a lot of stuff.

Not a lot of stuff, just the end pieces that were really just fluff anyway. I like Under the Hood, and all the memos, news articles, etc., but I wouldn't call them critical to the story. The whole motion comic is 5.4 hours in length. Imagine if the movie were that long!

Actually, they do cut out a lot of stuff not just under the hood and the end stuff. I've read the book at least 20 times and watched the motion comic twice so I would know. Example: Dan and Laurie leaving dans house in archi... doesn't have dan teasing about the door being rusted or explanations on the buildings he owns and the dry ice...

This is 10x better than the movie, the don't even use the original ending let a lone all the dialog changes. The only thing we got to look forward to is the 4hr release of the movie whenever that comes out.
