John and Evangeline made you believe and made you root for them as a couple....TPTB dropped the ball and caved in to keep the haters happy and because of that weak decision OLTL is now suffering. They need to beg REG to return to the role as Evangeline and reunite the couple that made afternoon T.V. worth watching. JoVan will always be my number one couple evah!!

I love it Dree! What they had was much more than tptb could see or was it? I think they saw it and were afraid of it. If Jovan was allowed to flourish they would have been THE supercouple of ABC Daytime. The Old hats aren't ready for an IR supercouple. So sad that in 2008 Jovan and other couples like them are still a taboo for daytime tv. Great work Dree. <3 :)

You "hit the nail right on the head". This is no different than what is going on right now at CBS (Y & R), with the IR couple Lily and Cane. Like that of Jovan, Lane's chemistry is off the charts, so organic ...so real! It is a shame that in 2008 (an election year with an African American nominee) viewers would have to fight to emancipate themselves from the traditional, uni-dimensional depiction of "love" in the afternoon. The more things change, the more they stay the same! Shame on you TPTB!
Wonderful! The close-ups show so much. This is THE screen coulple of the new millenium and no other even comes close - no matter what they may think. Why, oh why were they wasted on the likes of yellow-bellied and unimaginative ABC Daytime? It's always great to relive brilliance and Easton and Goldsberry as John and Evangeline were BRILLIANT!
