this scene scared the hell out of me when I was little. That one stupid person could make a bad mistake and people could die. lol that's why I only re-watched this last year lol
yea..but i would if i knew it wouldnt suck like most of cheap sequels...hmm the only sequel i remember currently being close to original quality wise was lion king 2 and 1.5...although i preferred 2 from those sequels. 1.5 was more of pure comedy, which i have nothing against unless most of animated stuff are comedies. i miss epic stuff and Hans zimmer's music in disney : P
@robcat2075 I didn't know Brad was considering a prequel to this film. The question is though "how would he make it?". Didn't the feature animation division of Warner Bros. die off or something after Looney Tunes: Back in Action? And I'm not sure he could do it at Pixar unless the whole thing was changed to CGI.
@A113Pixar He's not considering a prequel, but in answer to frequent fan inquiries about a sequel he has said a prequel/origin story would be his preference. Not that he has one written.
How could he do it without Pixar? The same way he's doing a Tom Cruise movie without Pixar... people with money buy a property and hire Brad Bird away from Pixar to direct it.
Absent someone with money, Brad Bird has many other things to occupy himself so it's not going to happen.
Just realized after watching this how much brad bird brought to pixar style wise. The general character remnds me (facially) as the secret agent guy from The Incredibles.
I see that at 00:50, the Giant knew instinctly that Kent was someone who deserved a scowl from him. Either that or when they were disguising the Giant as a statue in Dean's workshop earlier in the movie, Hogarth must've warned the Giant about Kent and told him he was "a bad guy". Which isn't too far from true.

all i want to know is, HOW do they keep the proportions so perfect throughout??
tipsycat27 8 months ago 5
00:50 I find it funny how the general shows no reaction to Mansley grabbing the walkie from his hand cause he doesn't have a moving animation yet.

it was the only movie to make me cry, and like everyone else laugh. I miss this movie wish I hadn't put it in the yardsale when I was little.

This needs to be released on blu-ray. Mostly because my DVD is all scratched.

They should make a remake of this.

@FriendlyOutcast300 Actually not a remake. A sequel would be better.

Brad Bird has said he thought a "prequel" might be an interesting idea. A movie the looks into where the hell the robot came from.
robcat2075 2 years ago 2
yea that would be nice

I wish this was a rough pencil test, but its not. This is final line. Seeing the whole movie in actual rough animation would be amazing.
kmcc93 3 years ago
It isn't until you see the "rough" of an animated film that you realize just how much work really goes into it. Thanks for this :)
