Another factor that must be taken into consideration is the building story where the door is destroyed at the end. In Perfect Dark, there are several levels where specific actions will have an influence on the next level. The G5 level is one of them. In the previous level, Chicago, on Special or Perfect Agent, you have to place a Remote Mine on the building's door. This mine is used to blast the door in the next level. The door you choose will be the exit in G5, so the lowest door is best.

This level is known to have an ambiguous way to get the cheat. By normal means, the time required (1m40s) seems unreachable by far. The trick comes from the fact that when a cutscene is being shown, the level's main timer stops. So when you put the decoder on the keypad, it triggers the door decoding. That takes 1 minute plus some 20s more for the safe door to fully open. You shave all this time by quickly engaging in the cutscene by driving the spycam to the right spot, while the door decodes.

That's only if you have a Perfect Dark Zero save on your hard drive. Those are the same cheats that would be unlocked on the N64 version by linking with the Perfect Dark GBC game.

its not the only way. you can kill the incoming guards until the lock is open. you have to be good and quick, though.

No, it is the only possible way. The safe takes 1 minute to be cracked, and about 15 seconds to open.

It is impossible to run from the beginning to the end, even without killing all the enemys and using the sprint trick in 25 seconds. The staff even said so in their own strategy guide.

Time-wise it is the only way. Killing the guards is easy, but you run out of time whilst waiting for the vault door to open if you're going for the cheat-accomplishment.

tips for aspiring runners:

1. You should almost always strafe-run. That is, strafe and hold forward at the same time. In some cases you'll need to know the levels pretty well for this to be effective.

2. Always select your weapons from the pause menu (timer doesn't run while paused).

3. For certain guns, such as the CMP-150, use the quick reload. Cycle backwards, then forwards through your weapons quickly. Press switch weapon + fire simultaneously to do this.

4. Practice, practice, practice.

I love how you "predicted" where those cloaked guards were xD I saw one comment (i don´t remember if it was yours or someone else´s) that having a good t.v somehow marks you like an "interference" on what´s displayed, and that´s how you spot those guys.
