  • Nice burnout mate, looks like country Victoria. Just bought a '67 parisienne with fairly warm 454, powerglide combo in it. Still ironing out some bugs. Took a couple of small blocks for a ride b4 I found this one but there aint Nothin like a rat to get those big tanks movin. Wouldn't mind knowin engine specks too.

  • country sa in the middle of a camping trip actually, it would propbably cost you more than you paid for the whole car to build a motor the same, just put a decent hydralic cam, carb and exhaust and enjoy it

  • fuck chevy !!!!..... buick oldsmobile pontiac even cadillac have the biggest stroke and the best built engines back then ahh i got your number chevy parts are cheap thats why you put a chevy in it !

  • well this is australia and those engines are pretty much unheard of, so performance parts and knowledge is non existant. of course chevy parts are cheaper so thats the smarter way to do it, it was still a $20,000 engine.

everbody knows chevs are the king of the drap strip (ok- along with hemi)

any of those other clunker engines are equivalent to ford crap anyway

  • @ponti454 Those 1960’s export Pontiac models were likely to have Chevy motors and or Buick interiors, or Olds taillights from the factory.

  • @ponti454 for 20 grand you could build a 800+ hp aftermarket pontiac engine thanks to KRE TIP and the aftermarket mr1 pontiac block capable of supporting 3000 hp pontiacs have realy evolved and are much better than their origonal stock engines the only problem is what it would take to ship the engine to austraila lol but chevys are good to but thanks to the world of aftermarket performance pontiacs are just as good if not better if you know how to build a good 510 536 540 ect

  • maybe now, but i built that engine in 1988 and there was no internet to keep the local speed shops honest lol

  • @ponti454 ah that would explain it

  • @midnitesquirldog

Back then, the 426 hemi was king.

  • NOT A TRUE PONTIAC!!! with a chevy engine, its a worthless Goverment Motor NOW!, Put a true Pontiace engine in her and stand Proud as a Pontiac owner!

  • its called the best of both worlds, im not the sort of guy to have a hot car without the goods under the bonnet to back it up! have fun being proud in your slow car

  • I had one of these and I was doing the Dukes of Hazzard before they were in diapers. Had a lot of Fun in that car!

  • Awesome!

    I love big blocks

    I had a 73 Formula 455!

  • Good car for running moonshine.

  • pontiac had a 421 sd in the 60` s they had a catalina 2+2 ; most had 4 speeds and they were fast . know a man that has one built in a 69 firebird ; runs 10.0`s in 1/4 mile and he has a 69 firebird tow car w/ mild 421 runs 13.4 in 1/4 . fast tow car !

  • Meef !

  • I had a 66 lemans 4 speed 326 blue printed and balanced could out run chevelle 396s redl\ light to redlight all night long back in 76

  • that is an awsome car i have a 66 stratochief 2 door post im just starting to fix up.

  • thanks mate, i started driving that in the 1980's when i was 19, it had a 600hp engine and it was always gauranteed to be the fastest car in any carpark. different now with all the wiz bang turbo screamers around.
