God has made this magnificent to show us his glorious power. Although I agree that we are arrogant I also believe that God may have made seem so small to magnify the significance of his love. he made us so small but his love for us is so big! also I believe that there is a reason for all the galaxies being so far apart. I think that he may have created other beings like us that are equally maybe even more important than us and i think he wouldn't want us to interfere with that (just a theory)

@martiandog89 we are not unique. Chimpansees has a selfawareness which has been proven as well as orangutans and they use tools, share foor, and make friendship bonds that last a lifetime. They also create new and unique ways to survive and they teach it to their kids. Orangutans is another species that is selfaware. But only 3species in total at the moment. When people die they just die stop to exist. I think that that gives people the drive to make the most of their life and to explore the universe. If they want to adopt a god then by all means I just don't want that their perception of gods is forced in schools and on children.
If we say that the universe was created for "us" in terms of "people on Earth," then I'd have to agree with you on all points, but if by "us" we mean to "people in the universe," including all possible extraterrestrial life, then one could, hypothetically, argue that the universe was created for life to thrive in, and the continuous creation and destruction is by design to allow a variety of new life forms to exist, replacing older ones. The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. This video is one small argument, among many, that convince me that a personal god does not exist (not that we have the burden of proof). It's not however, proof of the absence of a deistic god. We may never have proof either way.

When we are young we are so gullible that we believe ANYTHING, even tooth fairies and Santa. Another way people get religion is when they are emotionally distraught (think suicidal). The bible says that everything was created by God, meaning that everything has a creator, why does God not have one? If God was not created, then nothing can have a creator. God is said to be the source of everything, which means he created time and space, so he must have existed outside time and space. If everything comes from God, then God lacks everything he creates, like moral, or logic, if God comes from God, then God does not exist. If God is the cause of everything, God is void.

They also create new and unique ways to survive and they teach it to their kids. Orangutans is another species that is selfaware. But only 3species in total at the moment. If we say that the universe was created for "us" in terms of "people on Earth," then I'd have to agree with you on all points, but if by "us" we mean to "people in the universe," including all possible extraterrestrial life, then one could, hypothetically, argue that the universe was created for life to thrive in, and the continuous creation and destruction is by design to allow a variety of new life forms to exist, replacing older ones. (I'm not saying it happened that way, just could have.)

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. This video is one small argument, among many, that convince me that a personal god does not exist (not that we have the burden of proof). It's not however, proof of the absence of a deistic god. We may never have proof either way.

The issue is which faith science supports. Natural laws explain how an airplane or a cell works, but undirected natural laws cannot bring about either. THE ODDS of the sequence of molecules in a cell coming together by chance are similar to the odds of magnetic letters randomly bonding together in a sequence to form all the words and sentences in a dictionary. SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST prevents macro-evolution. Natural selection wouldn't preserve the evolution of new traits because they wouldn't have any survival value. "JUNK DNA" ISN'T JUNK: Recent research shows that these segments of DNA are vital in regulating gene expression (when, where, and how genes are expressed). There's no room for random mutations to operate safely. Random mutations, from radiation, are destructive. For every good one there would be hundreds of harmful ones with the net effect, over time, causing extinction, not upward evolution. Most variations are from new combinations of already existing genes, not mutations.

In my humble opinion, this does not prove that there is no God, the bible explains how "we" where conceived and how "he" managed our history, but a person that knows about bible and stuff like this can see that we are not "superstars" in this vaste universe, what we know is our story; still this is my huble opinion, but sure as always, pictures of hiden places in the universe are always amazing and beautiful! indeed!

@jpest17 I don't have to disprove the bible. Not only is there no reason to think any of it is true, but many of the stories and actions of the god character are morally reprehensible. Not to mention the core of the new testament - vicarious redemption - is simply the pinnacle of immorality.

@xPray2die2dayx OR the total energy of the universe is zero, which is actually the prevailing thought in cosmology at the moment. So the universe did not "come" from nothing, but was simply the splitting of nothing into equal but opposite components..which fits perfectly with all known physics.

A great deal of current, scientific research suggests that this Universe has an end, and that it is finite.
Therefore, if God exists in this Universe, he too would be finite or have an end.

That aside, quranic incitements of violence are evident in its verses 9:29 and 4:89 (if you've ever bothered to understand it with translation) and abrogations in 2:106 and 16:101.
