  • This is to cj15941. Yeah it probably will mess up the threats if you just screw it on the end of the shaft 1 turn but if you get it close to flush it won't. This is to br8Kurface. I understand why you came across like you did in this video. I watched all 4 of the videos and they were pretty clear. They were some interesting videos. Some people just like to bitch.

  • I do it with atvs, utvs, small engines hell even harmonic balancer and damper pullys on automobile engines like that and have never had a problem. Good info otherwise.

  • HAHA!! How did I know I was going to see @FearlessFront comment on this video!!! Why did you plug the top hole? Thats where you need to put a nipple in for your pulse jet for a fuel pump. And NEVER hit a nut on the end of the crankshaft!!! Are you damned retarded?!?!!!! You apply prying force to the back of one side of the flywheel then tap the other side with a hammer and it will pop right off.   • hmm, why do you take the governer off? not necessary to tear down your whole engine, you just have to get rid of the governer by fixing it on one place with an weak spring. To those guys who cant get rid of the governer dont even bother doing anything to the engine:S

  • @callme298 Many reasons...plastic gas tanks that don't corrode like the chinker metal tanks, no shitty "Torch" spark plugs, high quality castings that don't have porosity the way the chinker engines do, much better availability of parts. An engine is not an engine, you retarded fool.

  • You'll experience the back fire, it's from it getting rich from running at such high rpm, when you let it off it instantly leans out and leaves gas in the exaughst and it's ignited and a flame shoots out, don't worry about it

  • After removing the governor I've been experiencing alot of backfire from the engine at higher rpms. Usually backfire happens when I release the throttle after extended periods of time at top speed. Advice?

  • First step is to get a Briggs engine and toss out this China engine. These engines are OK, but Briggs engines have proven themselves to be far more reliable.

  • you never want to get rid of the low oil unless you wan to trash the engine. and really the only thing ya gotta do to get it rcae ready is take off or bipass the govener and port and polish the head and then run cam2 in it. and i understood this stuff since i was like 8 and im 13 now. those 14 year olds are idiots. nice vid though.

  • @timtim930 To be honest it depends on the situation. If your taking sharp fast corners where the oil will slosh around the dipper can stip distrubute the oil just fine but the sensor will trip killing the motor. and if you go offroad with the motor little jump and stuff can again trip the sensor. I say leave the sensor in place if it creates problems then disable it. keep oil in the engine its common sense and if your modifing a motor you should now have oil in the case should be number one.

  • @timtim930 if you "check the oil" every race....You wont trash your engine. I'm 58 and been a certified ase tech for 44 years.

  • @timtim930 ya you do want to take it of cuz u had one and every time you go around a turn or up a hill the oil sensor would shut the engine off, i cut the wire and it ran perfecly fine

  • ok i honestly do have a question... and im not 14. im considering buying one of these motors from harbor freight, "Greyhound" is the brand i believe. i plan on leaving the governor on for the most part and it's going on a small yard kart i have put slicks on. i basicaly want to know are these motors worth a flip or is this thing going to hand grenade and send the connecting rod through my head?

I am a dick about it because the same people ask me to basically build them a motor over the phone then when i tell them what to do they try to tell me i am wrong or they go in a different incorrect directoion than what i said. when people learn to listen i will learn to be nice.

  • just pull that shit carb off and take a race carb off a 4 cycle race bike all you have to doo is cut the flange off the intake where the shit carb ataches and use a small peace of tubing to atach the race carb dont bother with the govner it dosent matter if you want ass loads of power get a wet nitros kit for a ninja 250 with the smallest jets you can find tap a hole in the intake about 1/4 inch from the head

    you will need a small gas pump to feed the gas jet DO NOT USE A DRY NITROS KIT

  • And when did i say i was and expert? i know my way around these engines very well and there is a chance i could strip the whole motor down with my eyes closed and put it back together. execpt the head...i would have to be able to see to the line everything but and put the vavles back together and i would also have to see to get the timing right.

  • when you said remove the carberator, you pointed the the exhaust outake.

  • i have a clone that turns 8 grand with a stock rod. the rods in these motors are strong its just you have to keep good oil in them. use 16OZ of the green cool power oil which is about 20 bucks a gallon and u will never have any problems

  • Ok first of all i dont care that your 14, Just becasue your 14 doesnt mean i am calling you out on this. I WAS BEING NICE by not mentionionign there usernames. And if you have been working on motor for 3 years you would know what would happen if you can the motor at full throttle. IT WILL THROW A ROD AND PUT YOUR ENGINE TO SHIT...but if you are careful you can run full throttle. As long as you keep tight vavle lashes and dont go overboard on the whole full throttle thing.

    And Every Says The Rod Or Something Will Blow With No Gov. But I no How To Run a Motor Without One And No When To Let Off And Everything. But If I WERE TO Run It Wide Open, DO YOU Think It Would Blow? Thanx!! :-)

  • @bjarnold27 as long as ur not running it into the ground and keeping it wide open for a long time it should be ok, but i would be careful cause running high rpms like that can cause the stock flywheel to explode, and that could easily kill you
