  • At 1:46 Page's guitar goes off temporarily until the roadie runs out and fixes it.

  • someone can play the guitar

  • Plant is such a soldier!!

  • the version of this they did on tfi friday was fantastic. but i can't find it anywhere :(

  • These guys... they're the best band that has ever existed. I can't put any other band on the same level. (Pink Floyd gets close)

No other band harnesses so much talent. I don't even think they have any bad songs. Hearing their music never feels like a guilty pleasure. It feels like a privilege.

Thank you, Led Zeppelin, for your wonderous and uncalculable gift to music and the world.

  • and drummer just murders that hi-hat

  • robert plant..fabulous.. gettn up there but can still hit it..so damn rockin!! xo

  • PSALMS 83;18 That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the "MOST HIGH" over all the Earth.... The sacred name of Jehovah has been taken out of a lot of Bibles though. Anyway in ancient Hebrew scriptures Jehovah is the "MOST HIGH". " An olive tree consumed by fire" represents Moses and the burning bush where on the mountain God told Moses his name and what it means. "YHWH" the tetragram meaning He causes to become.

  • @FirebirdSummer Actually "El Elion/Elyon" is usually translated in the modern sense from the bible as Most High. & the Burning Bush when answering Moses on who sent him responds in Hebrew: 'EHIEH ASHR EHIEH', Ehieh is as variation of the Tetragrammaton & ASHR (Asherah) is a variation of the Egyptian ASAR/ASER (Osirus-Greek spelling), the same as the Assyrian ASHUR who are named after him as a tribe & son of Shem. All these spellings & vowels were regional variations & not fixed.

  • @FirebirdSummer Thank you for sharing that. Love it !

  • Damn...Jimmy and Robert should have released the Bizarre Festival show as a live album. They were both spot on and in good form.

  • still good, but will never be the 70's robert plant again.

  • WHY THERE'S NO THE CLIP ON YOUTUBE?

  • oh my god. great song. great performance. this is what we need now.....the lyrics is Amazing by the way

  • The only thing bizarre about this is how much of Page's hair disappeared in just 4 years.

  • this song is badass enough, just imagine if John Paul Jones was involved

  • what a coooool song

  • Kashmir part 2

  • 60 years old passed and they're still rockin on top ! Amazing...

  • who guards the Truth oh Lord most high...

a frightened dove in a starless sky

  • one of the greatest songs ever made.

  • In ZEP it was Page telling Plant what to do and it was MAGIC now I feel it's Plant telling Page what to do... and that's why we get this poppy stuff... mmm

I Love them but since Bonzo's death they never played the same.

  • robert plant used to look like an angel........ uhmm at least his voice is still angelic

  • I was down the local with rob only a few weeks ago, he lives near my house in kinver. he was with big mick, sound engineer from metallica :)

  • absolutely love Jimmy!!! a true legend.

  • This is amazing, thank you!!!

  • amazing!!!!! they are still great after all these years!

  • Drugs.

  • If we're gonna talk politics on a Page and Plant video than I'll share my views. I pretty much politically agree with Jimmy Page. (As far as I know.) But that's the thing. I only heard him breifly discuss politics in one interview from 1977. Glad he doesn't discuss politics much to the public. Musicians who usually do get on my nerves.

  • My comments were in response to statements that have since been deleted....whether its Bush in Africa or Page in Brazil, we need to join hands in lifting up the poor of the world regardless of where we stand on other issues, theological or otherwise. I am very happy for the kids at Casa Jimmy. They are blessed.

  • I can agree with that 100%. As long as socialism isn't involved though.

  • Ha, I was there this day. It was raining like hell but it was so great....

  • most high ...my Lord...no name,no religion.....just pure bliss...yes so high, but within us......go within,withdraw...shut the emotions, mind, the physical...its all irrelevant, its all his for his play...no matter what it is..it is a play of light and shadow....this Being revolves all within him without him....just a dream.....see it as so....

  • gotta love non jews period.

  • lol

  • God bless you, Michael Lee

  • Thanks to Bush there are nearly 60 million muslims experiencing the birth pains of freedom and democracy. An 80% approval rating in Africa with endorsements from Bob Geldof and Bono suggests you need to turn off Rachel and do your homework. Jesus did not lead a philosophy. He is God made visible, the Word Incarnate. He has made relationship with God possible and rejection of his love insane.

  • What's with the politics on the Page and Plant video?

  • CS Lewis put it best: "....The gates of hell are locked from the inside."

"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen. Not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else."

  • What I can't stand is the Pish posted up by religious cranks irrespective of the country they where spawned from - keep yer crap to yourself please and stay away from me. Morons! Religion is the biggest single cause of hypocritcal behaviour the world over. Shove it!

  • heres to all the debators on this page.... nobody ever did, or ever will know shit about what happened in the past, or what will happen in the future. There were no video camaras 2 thousand years ago anyway.. live your lives and have fun.

  • I am so sick of people who can't read the bible claiming to know so much.

I'd bet my eyeteeth you are also one of those workers of lawlessness (that Christ said would be pleading with God)

who believe the satanic lie that Sabbath could be chaged to Sunday by men, Changmai. You really should stop talking about stuff you don't know.

  • "There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight."

  • What you are listening to is worship of the fallen angel Lucifer. Page sought a relationship with this "Guardian Angel" through the wicked ritual known as Abramelin performed at Boleskin House. The Bible warns that Satan comes as an "angel of light" and that he offers secret knowledge, power, possessions, prestige. It is real and it is wicked and it is now out of the closet. Pray for these men and others like them. The purpose of this video is to gain fellow worshipers.

  • hey, i'm a christian and i like led zeppelin. You sound like the goof ball preachers in the seventies who got all bent out of shape saying there were "satanic messages" in stairway to heaven if you listened to it backwards. Well, i noticed that witches say the Lord's Prayer backwards and that's "evil" but it's holy said forwards. So i listen to my zeppelin forwards, lol.

  • davidteverett~I think there has been enough written apart from the backmasking to make the rather transparent case that P&P have deep sympathy for the angel on the Swan Song label.

  • you are making too many assumptions. The figure on the Swan Song label is Icarus, flying too close to the sun, it represents a swan song moment. Your logic all fits neatly for you but you really don't know the truth of the matter. How exactly do you know that Jimmy "Page sought a relationship with [lucifer] through the wicked ritual known as Abramelin performed at Boleskin House." Were you there? Or are you just plain eager to believe evil of a fellow man?

  • davidteverett~I am familiar with the Icarus debate. But in the context of their lyrical history and what is known of their lives and interests (Equinox, Boleskin, channeling, etc.) I tend to think that the logo of a falling angel evokes more thoughts about Lucifer than Icarus in the average listener. And that is intentional.

  • There You go again, changmai007, with "what is known." How do you know?

P.S. "Lucifer" refers to the king of babylon and is the only use of this name in the bible. If you're going to say that this is an illustration of satan, then you're gonnas have to admit that pharoah created the Nile river.

Page and Plant in interviews have said that the figure on the Swan Song label is Icarus.

  • excuse me. Lucifer refers to the king of tyre, my mistake.

  • It's pretty obvious to me, whatever you believe, that this song is about the middle east and the situation there. "Most High" refers to God and the song is saying, "where are you God when the kids are being killed in Palestine? What words do you give to comfort their families?"

It's not rocket science, and in fact it's more political than religious.

  • Theenzo~The entire lyric is making a mockery of the true Most High. It is mocking Jesus who wore a crown of thorns--not a "paper crown"--during his trial. The crowds mocked Him for being unable to save Himself as a real king would do. Unaware that he was willingly suffering for their salvation.

  • Theenzo~I can see how you might arrive at that interpretation. But the video, replete with Satanic imagery, provides a "visual" suggesting a different interpretation. Nonetheless, I would be remiss if I did not point out as I have elsewhere that I am deeply moved by the good work that Page and his wife are doing for the kids in Brazil. I simply wish them God's best as I do everyone...

  • Satan comes as an "angel of light" because he WAS the angel of light, Lucifer, Son of the Morning a.k.a. The Morning Star. If you were God's favorite angel, wouldn't you know a few secrets? Bible-thumping troll.

    God my ass

  • Why don't you take your god and shove it up your ass and leave this place to those who like to enjoy good music without retarted religions.

  • One word:

    Timshel

Now go learn some manners and stop throwing your beliefs at everyone else, it's not polite little boy, mommy should have spanked you more for being so rude.

Besides, the bible has many passages about not persecuting nonbeleivers, so you are thus a hypocrite, and are too ignorant to comprehend the main message of the book you so devoutly worship.

Stop living in your own fabrications and models of reality.

  • I saw them on this tour.

    Awesome.

As good as they were when I saw them as Zeppelin.

  • uma das melhores do page & plant

  • awesome ! !zep is zep!!

  • How come this stuff never makes it's way to DVD?? It's obviously professionally filmed.

  • Intense and Awesome!

  • Walking Into Clarksdale is truly a great album. If you don't own it, then buy it right now! You are really missing out. Trust me. You'll be glad you did buy it.

  • Der Hammer!!

  • Yes!!!!

  • Also, nobody really knows what Robert is talking about in his lyrics. Some say only a god could ever understand the Zeppelin boys. I believe that to be true. They are fueled by something no band today could ever even comprehend. Maybe its Jimmy's Occult ways? Maybe Plant's Religious Sarcasm? Or maybe it is their vast knowledge of the world and music and certain Religious mysteries that we modern folks can't comprehend. Whatever the case, thses two keep rocking. No matter the age.

  • @Anthaleus

They've just read/studied LOTS of mythology and ancient religion. Then creating lyrics out of probably hundreds of books/teachings/ways/disciplines/schools-of-thoughts.

Decoding their lyrics to fit it into an occult context is like solving a huge puzzle, lol

  • @Anthaleus When Page and Plant got back together in the early '90's, they both spent a great deal of time in the Middle East and India. Much of their newer influences came from those areas, not only musically, but spiritually as well. As I devote a considerable amount of time to researching ancient religions of the near east, I considered your questions about the song and listened. Could very well be that they are singing of the Ancient ones and the Old ones of Sumerian lore... =)

  • @Anthaleus

    "Nobody" knows, huh?

  • You see, there is a certain mystery to these two Zeppelin men. Led Zeppelin in its entirety is a mystery. How it came together and how four godly talented men got together to make a super group is a mystery. No band since them has been shrouded in this much mystery. I know. Nobody really understand Robert Plant. That is what makes him, him. And Jimmy's playing is, yes, somewhat sloppy but it defines Plant's lyrics. That is why you see these two working together. The mystery keeps going.

  • i've never heard a bigger load of bullshit.

who says this has anything to do with any major religious belief!? people trying to wrap this song and led zeppelin around their own stupid faith is ridiculous.

you realize they wrote about valhalla, and jimmy dabbled in black magic. this has a mid-eastern feel, and is totally abstract in any message. plant used to laugh about people getting messages from their songs, they made titles abstract and meaningless on purpose.

  • The mystery of God would remain a mystery if it weren't for Jesus. But God chose to reveal Himself to us so that we can know Him through Christ. Want to know what God is like? Look to Jesus.

  • @Chiangmai007

the concept of God is dead. Jesus is a fictional character derived from older religions and ancient societies. Get real.

  • @Guitarscreech06 CS Lewis once embraced your belief. I encourage you to read Mere Christianity by him. The subject of mythology was central to the conversations he had with his Oxford colleague, JRR Tolkien. These men were scholars on the subject matter and Tolkien played a central role in Lewis' journey from atheism to faith. If you've no time to read a book, then I'd suggest reading Rene Girard's article "Are the Gospels Mythical?" at leaderudotcom.

  • @Guitarscreech06 Just because the concept is dead does not make Him unreal. And Jesus...better check all historical accounts. He is not fiction. Plant said he would hide the East from the blind man. Think about it.

  • Michael Lee... R.I.P Bro' ...

  • No, no, no. Don´t make fun of me. I don´t wanna hear it, if it´s real true. I love this man the most, because he playes for anyone all around.

  • so what happened to michael lee?

  • Jonathon Ross on keys.

  • a great live performance!!!! fun to watch jimmy and robert perform

  • It's good but plant keeps (uncharacteristically) coming in too late!

  • how are you sure they were do u have proof other then some1 sayin they were?

  • God isn't real. stfu.

  • this is such a badass tune.

  • Good, I like the Satanist's view of creation better than Christianity's view. See "Why I Am Not A Christian" by Bertrand Russell

  • But Zeppelin + P&P never used swear words!

I'm certain their lyrics were never intended to cause offence.

  • This is the biggest load of b.s. I've ever heard. There is NO proof, and it's NOT a proven fact. As for the "paper crown" lyric. David was not God, so there's no blaspheme. The reference may be more along the lines of not being eligible to wear the crown.

  • good point

  • Wildkat~the book Fallen Angel: The Untold Story of Jimmy Page and Led Zeppelin sheds much more light on their involvement. There's some BS in it though as well which doesn't serve the cause of Truth. However, I praise God for the work that Jimmy and his wife began for the suffering kids in Brazil. Pray for them. I pray that Plant's interest in Tolkien will lead him to read books by Tolkien's friend CS Lewis. Tolkien help lead Lewis to Christ.

  • That whole Fallen Angel book is a crock of shit. Read it at your peril.

  • how did he mocked him idiot

  • I <3 when page/plant sarcastically praise God. Just like their live versions of "In My Time of Dying" with Jimmy jerking off his danelectro while Plant is screaming about Jesus.

  • And where is the sarcasm?? Started as a gospel song recorded by Blind Willie Johnson, became a blues standard covered by many artists, like Bob Dylan. Zeppelin were at their most basic level a blues band...so what if Robert wails? How is that sarcastic? This doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Was he not supposed to put any soul into it?

  • The sarcasm is not in the tone. The lyrics are not pro-God.

"Who hides the east from the blind man's eye?"

"While David's seed talks through his paper crown..."

  • What does it matter if the lyrics are pro God or not? This whole thing is getting ridiculous. The simple fact is, until Robert decides to tell us what the lyrics mean, anything we think or say is speculation.

  • one of the greatest songs that i have ever heard, thaks for the uploading.

  • Fuckin awsome song and a really good live version..i think Plant is "most high"in this performance..

  • Oh!! Lord Most High!!!!!!

  • i like this song!
