  • Thanks very helpful for a newbie like me!

  • @dannywineo Cool.

  • what happens if you draw outside the border?

    and is the border important

  • @littleEdog

If you get your art printed to comic size, whatever is outside the lines will not print.

  • @brandonrobinson5150 well could i just use normal bristol board then shrink it down on the computer or is that bad

  • @littleEdog

you can but paper has to be 11X17 than reduce 33% to be comic size.

  • @brandonrobinson5150 so all you do is put a little space from the edge to make your border. And can i shrink it wih manga studio

  • Just like the previous commenter, I like the way you said AMERICAN STYLE. My 14 year old nephew draws Manga. He thinks I'm an old fart because prefer drawing western sytle.

  • @bjeh001 right

  • @bjeh001 lol That's funny. I'm 29 and growing up all I did was Japanese style, because American style was boring to me. As I got older there were things that I began to like about American style of character creation, so I kind of combined the two together. My Japanese influence is Shinkiro (SNK artist, now Capcom). My American influence became Jim Lee. I don't like much the generic Japanese style look, that also many people copy lol.

  • @inkmage80 What I love about Manga is the tech. I love the weapons and all the robots, it's the style of the people that turn me off.

  • @brandonrobinson5150 Same here, though there are some artist who's style I love each one's is different. I grew out of and tired of styles similar to what we see on Naruto or Bleach for example. There are exceptions though, like Rumiko Takahashi always love her stuff as I grew up with a lot of it. There are some things in American style with people that I do not like either, especially when too many lines are put in the face- it can tend to make the character look too old, or ugly.

  • AMERICAN STYLE

  • Awesome video! I actually purchase these products myself, although I typically use paper that doesn't have the fancy rules on the side.

  • @T3hPapaBear

    thanks
