you can shift fast without grinding you gotta rev mach it has electronic throttle body so theres gonna be some rev hang so if it limits at lets say 8500 rpm u need to shift at 8100rpm cuz of the rev hang itl mach up like if u were shifting at 8500rpm

Look, im not trying to diss the driver and I definately don't buy into the idea that hard acceleration messes up the transmission, not unless your heel to toe coordination is pretty bad. I've had a Civic Type R for 5 years and nothing has ever gone wrong and the biting point of the clutch is still as sharp as ever.

you say it takes forever to shift, and I said hes double clutching. heal toe is as your braking, you want to shift through gears so your not stuck in a higher gear at low rpm. So say your in 4th at 6krpm and you need to brake down to about 2nd at 4krpm, as you brakes, you heal toe down shift to rev match.

double clutching is also rev matching, your letting the engine revs match the trans

You're right, theres nothing wrong with his shifting, he didn't hit redline and his shift is very smooth. Maybe its not the fastest shift, but I'm sure that fast shifting isn't the point of this video anyway.
