@casestudyification I know. Back in the days when people TALKED to each other and (gasp) WATCHED the show without looking at Twitter every 25 seconds.
I was at knebworth with my girlfriend, we got back together again 30 years later! spent the day seeing how much black hash we could smoke. beefheart was great, tim buckley was there too - a really good gig!
@Ashienoelle i think there is not much footage out there. hi tech was not very "small" at the time. and f the band was not agree with the cameras in the audience
I was at this festival. Blimey what a bill. Floyd were ok but it was not their best moment. There was an incredible overfly of Spitfires that I think was supposed to be during "Time" but were about 5 minutes too early. But the whole day was just fantastic. Slept in a bin liner.
Very welcome to have a listen to AirwavesJoxfields Vegetable (Elephant ) Man with Joxfields tribute-to-David-Gilmour's-ca-1971-playing guitar at 1.59. If you make a visit; hope you enjoy it! Cheers!
concerts were very different back then because you listened to the albums and wondered how they made the sounds. then to actually see was great. pink floyd especially.
I was a 90's child, which sucks because the only music listen too came from the 60's 70's era. I wont pretend to understand how it made people feel back in the day, all I know is how this music makes me feel now. Pink Floyd is drugs without drugs. I don't need to get high, because their music gives me a feeling that drugs never did for me. This music dark as it is sometimes, gives me an overwhelming feeling of comfort and peace. This music is a relevant today as is was all those years ago.
I was 9 at the time.Wish I could have had my Mom's sisters husband who was kinda like a hippie take me to see them back in 1975 or 1977.What a find indeed!! a Rare Gem
@faunoram I find it depressing that your description of sleeping people cuddled up with loved ones as "f^&ked up" depressing. It was a much better time for the apprciation of the arts. And a free era without having to twitter or update your facebook status every 10 mins. People together, sharing, communicating and experiencing without big eyebrow waxing brutes picking fights because they can't handle their light beer. Not depressing. COOL!
Haaaa...!!!! David Gilmore with a Canadian hockey tem shirt!!! This is too funny! And all these people completely stones, they don't even bother to look at the stage!! Hilarious! Love Pink Floyd!
@lilwings14jl Us Montreal Canadiens fans have always known good taste in music, like Pink Floyd - it's only fitting David Gilmour should know good taste when it comes to hockey, too!!
Yeah! You said it all... Wish I were there... I started enjoyng PF's stuff in 1976 and think I was too late... Those good days are all gone... Nostalgia is what I have now...
@vivelavidarocka But what my "then" mum and dad were doing? LoL i am happy that my father and mother were not virgin!!! They would pass this crappy feeling to me
Never cried so hard in my whole life. I don't belong here.

It is weird when you realize that not one person in the crowd in the 70's has a cell phone.

Woah, Nick Mason without a beard during the 70's. Only have seen him without one during Syd-era Floyd and during recent times.
And David Gilmour has a beard here!
