i like the idea alot. there are quite some possibilities with this.

for example having a kids room and having it look like the walls are secretly made out of candy.

looks like a very nice job - nice trickery for the eyes....id have added a painted shadow on the cream smooth wall so that it looked like it was standing out from painted effect brickwork to help the 3D illusion more.

The painting technique is good but I don't understand why anyone would want to make their room look like it's falling to pieces.
