It is the brown visor and i also have a mirrored one but they tend to scratch easily. They are very comfortable but the long tail can knock on the uprights when your standing on takeoff looking for other gliders, which used to be annoying when i was flying a flex but not with the atos.
@Carbonkiwi that dosent sound like to much of a problem i just didnt want to get something that feels well like heavyish and clumbersome like a cheap motorcycle helmet. For the price of one of these helmets i wouldnt expect it to be like that, i just like to ask someone who has one before i get my money out, thanks for the info buddy i think i will get one with the brown visor.
Thanks. The gopro is a fantastic camera but the drift has that little bit extra. New long life battery with 4 hours recording and the remote control with a 16 ft radius is very handy, lcd screen and rotating lens completes the package.
Coooool video.....Go Pro is what I have used but is also nice to have an option with a more "regular" angle...to avoid fogging I use tea bags with desecant salts inside...wish you great flights!!
Thanks !! Last flight with Gopro was inland and i used the open back and had no fogging after 45 mins flight. I only really have trouble with fogging when i'm flying at the coast. The drift is still better especially with the RF remote and 4 hours recording time !!!!
They didn't work for me. I had 2 strips in there, but i've heard that if you fly with an open back you reduce fogging even more. That would be all good as long as i don't fly through any rain showers !!!!!
Thanks. The mount is a standard vario mount with a 12 inch POV flex mount threaded in the middle. There is the GP bracket stuck to the bracket end of the mount.
By using the vario mount i can easily exchange either a 6 or 12 inch flex mount between the cameras universally and that way only carry one system for both.
is that the brown or the blue visor you got there on your icaro lid? im thinking of getting a full face are these helmets coumfy to wear?

Try it again with both mounted side by side on the keel, then split screen.

I would have done if gopro had a remote....

did you get any still photograph from Drift HD170? how's the quality?

Not yet. I usually put the drift out of reach because it has the remote and i leave on video. The gopro i have within reach and have taken photos.

Awesome footage, and a great camera comparison. I love my GoPro, but that Drift is looking very good.
