What mode were u shooting on if u don't mind me asking? I can see looking at the footage it 's in progressive ,so I guess the question is which mode of progressive, and also did u use Auto White Balance , some of the footage seems to have a blue tint, We use this camera in college and I'm just getting used to the new SDHC model and the levels of light , colours etc .Thanks!
Great shooting. I love the look of this camera but I have seen other videos on here used with the same camera and it looks blurry. My question to you is how do you get your video so clear? Is it the settings or add ons like an adaptor? Thanks.
if you have final cut express you should know that any firewire camera will work. vista? yeah w/ vegas and firewire. seriously... do some research instead of just asking questions. sorry i dont mean to sound like a jerk. and yes, the cam has great macro which give amazing dof w/o a 35mm adapter
so, you're saying you can shoot dvx100 without the 35mm adapter and still get that FILM look. I have done some research on people using a hv20 camera, which looks amazing if you look up some on here. Just wanted to hear your input. Thank you.
oh yeah definitly.. read and learn about the physics behind lens properties. ive noticed amount of light seems to affect dof. (although not all would agree) Macro focus at a wide zoom and close to subject give amazing shallow DOF. or get as far as possible from a subject and zoom all the way in (hard w/ a DVX and its 10x lens) combine these thngs with the DVX's 24p and CineGamma (Film like gamma) and the images definitely wont look like any old "video look"
the hv20 still has a crap consumer lens..... maybe 1080 hd but still a crap lens and no pro features.... and anything looks good @ 1080 and a 35mm adapter.... but its a consumer junker... sorry forgot im on my bros mac... thus the champster12..
interesting. I still find it amazing that people can even do the film look on a hv20. OMG you should look it up and type in HV20-film look, without the adapter.
hmmmm, I was looking into this camera, I don't think youtube does it justice with the compression it requires. I thought your telemacro work was pretty cool though
I love this camcorder, I just bought it and did a music video let me know what u guys think. I didn't even use any special lighting. Just recorded with 30p and 24p
But quality diminished alot when I put it on youtube
How do you get the quality so good on youtube? I have the dvx but no matter what i do, when i upload the video on youtube the quality goes to hell. Please help me
excellent use of manual focus!

its the cinematography that gives it a pro look. Good aesthetically adept shot choice. Composition and what not.
