This was a refreshing and invigorating display of true artsmanship and creative expression and choice. Your registry choice was spot on, and interpretation precisely what I was hoping for. Thank you for your dedication to this magnificent instrument and the spirit of its continuing journey.
I play most of the Vierne Symphonies, but don't know the fourth very well - but fair play, this is a most exciting performance. I really enjoyed this from start to finish and it has certainly made me want to open my copy of Vierne 4 and learn it.... once Easter is over!!
Terrific, exemplary performance in every way, Christopher. You've got everything perfectly under control. Contrary to an earlier comment in regards to your registration, what you've done here works just fine. Also, with regard to the instrument itself, it's terrific, actually. Sounds a heck of a lot better than most of the other crap I hear on YouTube. Keep up the great work, Christopher.
Mr. Houlihan again demonstrates his incredible talents, especially his affinity for Vierne, with his remarkable playing and energy.
To Pipeorgansonlyplease: I would refrain from commenting such negativity when it is downright wrong. If you can't hear, nor appreciate, the subtlety, I highly recommend listening before commenting.
With all due respect to dennisferrar1, I believe Mr Houlihan's plenum registration squeals entirely too much for this repertoire. But alas, an Austin . . . It looks like the SW/GT 4 super-coupler is on ?? Not sure, but if it is, it shouldn't be. As for nuance and phrasing, the performance sounds far too untidy and tense to be heard as 'subtle'. Again, with all due respect to dennisferrar1.

Excellent performance; the Austin instrument "fits" the repertoire like a comfortable "glove." Subtle nuance and phrasing
