  • Wtf! $900 boom box?

  • @fwolverine01 i think the boom box was $110. So she was correct that it was under $200.

  • Original air date: January 2, 1998

  • yea i think it is a early version of 1/2 off i miss bob carey is just not the same!!!!

  • just a thought, do you think this was a distant cousin of the bringing of 1/2 OFF?

  • PLEASE just go away, B-O

  • Has the Poker Game been played on The Price is Right since Drew Care has been the host? If it has, I think that game needs a little bit of a makeover though.

  • nope, retired in Dec 2007, but was not played since earlier that year

  • I think this game was retired because it had confusing rules and it had a low win percentage.

  • I agree with that. I had to stop and rewind the video several times to see where she went wrong.

  • I've seen this whole episode before. The following pricing games featured were:

    Money Game (WIN)

Fortune Hunter (the first time I'd seen it on TV) (loss)

    Cliff Hangers (WIN)

1 Right Price (WIN) (the One-Bid before it had a washer-dryer at stake, but with lots of clothing sticking out!)

    Check-Out (loss)

    Dice Game (same as above)

The 2nd Showcase Showdown had a $1,000 win, and that same player also won a $25,923 showcase, including a car.

  • Wow you one hell of a fan! That's good!

  • Bob isn't revealing the price of the IUFB; it's a Fortune Hunter clue.

  • To the creator of this DISASTER of a game:

    YOU FAIL!

  • Despite that fortune Hunter had a low-win rateage, I probably would have liked to play this fun and challenging game.

  • I might've won.

  • She Blew it!

  • I've been looking for this. thank you =)

  • I think this is the ancestor of the game half-off.

  • And the reveal of the prizes is VERY similar to the reveal of the boxes in 1/2 Off

  • "Air power"... XD

I love this game, I can just barely remember it (the $5000 bill at the beginning) and the box reveal. Too bad the game wasn't won much, which lead to its retirement. Though, I guess it isn't all that bad, or we wouldn't have 1/2 Off today!

  • And appropriately, the game's name would be applied to this cue.

  • The opening of the box later came into 1/2 Off.

  • when was it retired

  • 2000.
