I was working just round the corner on the saturday at staithes lane. Moments, and i meant minutes after i left the staithes lane had flooded. 5FT in the end.Ｉremember that morning aswell the alarm in the video was ours and it continued until late that night. 9am that morning we waded up to the red car in the vid and beyond, it was still waist height on a 6.4ft man. Something needs to be done to prevent this again. All i can say now is we cleaned it up and are starting a new.
Hi, Im a Paramedic and work quite often out of morpeth ambulance station. I was saddened to see it under water. Fortunately I was not in the county when the flood happened so missed the devastation. If anybody has any photos or videos of the ambulance station etc then please let me know as I would be interestedin seeing morpeth at its worst. Thankyou.
