  • i <3 marlee matlin. she is such a good actress one of my favorites and i like how they actually made it quiet when she was reading their lips. that helps to understand what its like. i wanna see this episode.

  • shes is amazing. i love her voice :)

  • russell havard plays in this episode, he is deaf as well. you can find him doing asl songs on youtube, put in gives you hell asl and he is the video in the purple shirt.

  • marlee can little good voice

  • Was the victim and her whole family deaf?

  • I loved that they shut out the sound when the detectives where talking to her. Genious! I love Marlee! :))

  • Marlee Matlin was assigned a non-speaking role in CSI- NY. she is shown here holding a baby.

  • This episode is beautiful.

    I teared up watching it.

I never knew she was ACTUALLY deaf.

    That's amazing.

  • @lolalaurentina That's funny.

  • @lolalaurentina i was cryin just a tad woah that was good

  • Marlee and Russell Harvard did a great job acting, but I think someone deaf should have consulted on this episode! Then at least some obvious things would have been fixed.

  • Uh, you mean besides Marlee Matlin who actually IS deaf?

  • Yeah, I wonder why *she* didn't say anything? Probably did, but they ignored it.

  • there's several actors and actresses who are deaf and HOH deaf

  • I found it online, and there was some silly stuff in the episode. Starting with the recognition of lipreading, moving on to identifying shotgun vibrations, then to the kidnapper sitting in a back seat in the dark with a shotgun trying to yell at the deaf woman in the front seat driving (she can't see his hands, he's signing with one hand), to the deaf villain screaming for his transmitter, as if not having a transmitter equals being disarmed in some way. The character grew up deaf.

  • I really want to see this. Anyone know where to find it??? The full episode I mean.

  • this is awesum

she's amazing-how could she speak sooo well for not being able to hear?

yeh full episode would be good ta xx

  • She has had vocal coaches for a longtime now. I think she started back in 1987 when she was the Oscar, but she could have started before then.

  • Marlee said "Please..Please help me". :)

  • does anyone no if the full episode is on the internet?

  • Yea I was just thinking that. Not sure if I have it and even if I've seen it before. Like to see the entire episode please.

  • That clip alone makes me want to see the whole episode.
