Getting a perfect on this boss, or any boss for that matter, is fairly easy; for the Giant Bowser bosses, it just takes concentration and never panicking. The regular bosses... well, you just have to know how their attacks work. Can't say with a straight face that you predicted every cheap attack the first time, nope.

I remember having trouble on this boss the first time I played the game-years later, now, I know what I'm supposed to do for each of the attacks and I aced it on my first try.

@dragonup242blue I don't know why, but it seems like some parts of the game are ridiculously hard for some people and a pushover for others. I have an easy time with the fireball-shooting bits, but for some reason I have a lot of trouble with the Spin Pipe challenge when people say it's hilariously easy compared to the other Cholesteroad challenges. Took me quite a few tries until I found a good way to use it for me-it just seems so hard to concentrate with Spin Pipe than the others.

When it comes to Giga Bowser's attacks, I can NEVER get excellent.

@dragonup242blue Yeah, I know the feeling-the smallest twitch and you miss the mic for a split second and the game think's you're done. If you have trouble with the punches, though, tilt the DS back to normal for a second and slide up for the punch instead of to the right. Might work better for you.

I keep failing the timing of the flame attack in this battle. It was easier with the buttons.

It is an easy fight if you know how the Microphone works. The challenge just comes in using it properly. Once you do the boss becomes very easy. I suggest practicing the flame attack on Bowser Castle and Tower of Yikk so you can get used to how it works. Super Peach's/Fawful's Castle is in my opinion the hardest boss in the game not counting the bosses in the Challenge Node Gauntlet.

@444mariosonic A tip for guys that have trouble. when your at the part with that hill just make sure that he is on fire and DON'T counter. Only counter the clouds let him push you around and use the mushrooms you got from the train. as long as the train is in the hill it will take damage from the heat and the longer the hill is over heating the better.
