  • iv seen loads of comments about different kits.

    ALL AFTERMARKET KITS GLARE.

  • Actually that wasn't bad at all and only reason it looked bright at the end is because he turned his brights on the Guy with the hid's and he brighted his ass back

  • on my old car i had projectors with halogens in it i got flashed because of it and they were dim as fuck....basically you aren't suppose to look into the light like a moth to the flame look at the lines on the road when some bright ass lights are heading towards you...

  • I dont see the point to this video. I dont know how many times ive driven toward an expensive cadillac or bmw or infiniti and their headlights with projectors are still as bright as this. Stop being a miserable old fuck and look for something else to do with your life other than complain on youtube about what people do with their own personal property. It wasnt even bad until he was almost directly beside the car filming. If you watch the video and look only at the road its a non issue.

  • yup, I spent quite a bit to retro in some bmw oem projectors and bulbs. I haven't been flashed once. Insane amount of light on the ground where it is supposed to be and none in your eye :D.

  • wow, what a video.

  • Retrofit ftw

  • If you have hids installed you arent blinded by other ppls hids on the road anyone else agree?

  • This is why causes glare, the light source is the wrong spot, certain colors scatter, and the human eye.

Light source is different spot than halogen filament causing major difference

Certain light spectrums can not contain themselves and scatter around

The human eye has problems processing blue, it compounds the two previous points

  • dont get me wrong, i love hid lights, im even going to put 4 bi-xenons in mine, but i am forking out the cash to get a proper projector kit and going for the brightest and whitest 5k bulbs. if your going to do it, then do it right the first time.

  • I totally disagree...I could hardly give a crap about on coming traffic...If they don't like the glare of my vehicle head lights they should looks else where...Like at the road for instance.

  • @lsi624 clearly you don't diserve to have a license then.

  • @lsi624 LOL!

  • haha i did the same. This guy's hid's were pissing me off, so i flashed my high beams - of course he flashed his back, but i was expecting it. I was just flashing him to tell him that they are too bright.

  • wow didnt know reflectors do that much beam bouncing lol that would blind anyone coming the other way hope he gets pulled up wih them

  • @simpsons790 its not the reflectors, they are fine, but the hid lights have a light sorce that is not in the focal point of the halogen reflector and the halogen reflector doesnt have the cut off that the hid bulb needs to stop this blinding effect.

  • Dam he feels like a fucking dumb ass LOL I have a 2010 expedition with 6k hid and its a tall car dumb asses flash me so I flash back nd waych them feel stupid

  • I just bought a HID conversion with 8000K and glad I don't live in Brittan. You flashed your brights at him and he flashed back. What did you expect? It wasn't that bad before he brighted you and if it was he needed to adjust his lights properly. I could have tilted my old lights up and it would have bothered you just as bad. All this video does is make me sad I didn't buy the Bi-Xenon lights so I can bright assholes like you back.

  • I don't have projectors and I never get flashed. Plus I have high beams 2

  • Never Leave You ( Ft. Amelle Berrabah )

    LOL

  • People are too cheap to buy projectors, but it's no different than the idiots who drive around w/high beams on.

  • blah blah people bitched and moaned to the same degree when those damn halogen lights came out. All the dangerous young whippersnappers were blinding all the safe old timers with their 6v system trucks and Buicks.

You're going to see LOTS more of these wonderfully efficient lights as time goes on. Must be maddening.

  • Shooting Star ! oh wait no its a ford fiesta ...

  • lmfao;!

    exagerating muchh?

  • can't they just fit a HID lamp in a HID reflector?

  • Lol this kid flashes his high beams and blinds the drive and bitches because he flashes his highs back. HIDs come stock in cars now and you have no idea if those were stock or not. Your a retard

  • @getignited114 This 'kid' flashes his lights to make the oncoming vehicle aware of the extreme discomfort they are causing other road users. They were NOT 'stock' (it's called OEM or factory fitted plonker) as Ford never fitted them to that model of Fiesta and OEM HIDs never dazzle like that, especially not on a straight road that it 9 miles long and flat all the way. So now who's the retard? Unfortunatly your ignorance doesn't surprise me though.

  • @TeyeDriver i agree with everything you say, hids should be in hid projectors or at least proper hid reflectors, but 'stock' it the correct term for 'factory fitted'

  • @TeyeDriver you saw him coming from 9 miles away? well looks like the HIDs did their job!

  • @getignited114 you retard those lights are blue so no they are not stock dum ass and no they dont come stock in all new car and they have to have projector lights in order to put hids

  • @getignited114 those things are definitely aftermarket, look at the freaking rediculous '10k' bulb color and glare those things gave off. quit trying to be the hero..and quit condescending, internet troll jerk-off.

  • @lovestheh20 your right, there deff not stock hids, but there not 10k, more lit 7k, 10k would be a really deap purple.

  • @getignited114 It's funny how he said, "Your a retard". I guess he just rested his own case. It's "You're"; retard.

  • @getignited114 Seems the retard is the one that uses "your" versus *you're*

  • @getignited114 thats the same shit i see on these new cars.

  • @getignited114 Not even close to OEM.

  • I decided to put HIDs on my 2006 Toyota Landcruiser but didn't want the cheap kits so I managed to order a US spec projectors with the HID bulb from a parted Lexus GS470 which is in heart an LC and installed them. It took some time and quite a bit of work but it looks factory done and the headlights are OEM resolution.

  • These hid kits where banned from the road in the UK but because of the shear quantity of people ignoring the law the DFT and VOSA are planning on adding a check on the MOT for these illegal lights.

  • I feel your pain. Every idiot in our state has these blinders on. They flat out destroy the oncoming driver's night vision. We nearly ran off the road one night because of this crap. There's not much I hate in life, but these are right up at the top of my list.

  • That dick has got his beam all the way up, don't blame the HIDs it's the fucking driver

  • @SuperDOHC Unless you dont have a projector style housing in your headlights, they with blind the fuck out of everybody regardless of how they are angled, buy a projector style housing or a car that actually looks good and is OEM with HID's

  • @Thriced2286 yes i do have projectors headlights and they look legit like oem

  • @SuperDOHC Nice.

  • Fuckin Herbs

  • Lol all you had to do was adjust the bulbs so they point downwards more with the leveller motors.

    Stupid video

  • That is why I bought custom headlights with projectors for my car.

  • Extremely exaggerated video. If you fit the RIGHT kit of good quality you won't be seeing this and I can tell you that for sure. Even a regular halogen unit that is not well aligned will show the same results as on this video.

  • @MRXENONCHIH The video is hardly exaggerated. Those bulbs were fitted correctly but in the wrong units I believe as it was the skatter causing the dazzle. Yes incorrectly fitted halogen bulbs will also dazzle, but no-where near as badly as incorrectly fitted HIDs (be them in the wrong unit or incorrectly leveled).

Out of interest could you advise of what is the RIGHT kit and why it wouldn't cause dazzle in none projector headlamp units compaired to the WRONG kit? Just I'm rather interested.

  • @TeyeDriver

As there are many HID manufacturers today it would be very difficult to tell you an exact name or brand but I can tell you they do exist and do their work as they should. The price of the kit is a very good headsup. I've seen many times what you are trying to show on your video but also I've seen the other side too. If the unit works fine with halogen then it should work fine with a good xenon, just remember this, xenon gives at least 3 times more light ouput that regular halogen

  • @TeyeDriver

And if dazzle exists on halogen then it will be more noticiable with xenon due the extra light outout.

  • @MRXENONCHIH sorry but you're just plain wrong, unless you are referring to a retrofit. ghetto HID (plug and play) is a danger to other drivers and is illegal not only in the UK but also in many parts of north america because they do blind oncoming drivers.

  • @movitmovit ... and not to mention that it looks like sh^t and does not even provide superior quality to halogens due to the scatter. proper retrofits OTOH, are a thing of beauty!

  • One day some one is going to drive dead on in to that idiot.

  • haha! my h.i.d's have just come im going to install them imediately.

  • @paullaith And your point is other than being another inconcidered road user?

  • It's unbelievable how stupid some people are, putting other drivers at risk just to attract some attention and make their cars look "better". They're highly illegal here in Australia and anyone installing a "retro-fit" HID on their car should be shot...

  • @mj3610 HID's are not illegal in oz thear are tight rules on them i have them on my car and a lot of new cars have them as stock so what are you on about???

  • @ydabs

We're talking about the retro-fit ones little Johnnie buys from ebay to put on his Honda civic, not the ones BMW engineers brilliantly on the M3s and M5s. Theres a big difference. Theres strict standards which manufacturers must adhere to when supplying HID lights on any car and I must say the idea of fitting HID "kits" on a halogen casing contravenes every single one of these standards and the reason behind them.

  • @ydabs It's illegal to fit them to a reflector type light and most new cars come with them.

  • what kelvin and which brand and what wattage of hid do you have?

  • @fulsingh I don' have them, they're ilegal and dangerous in the majority of not factory fitted applications. This video proves it with the arse driving towards me with them dangerously dazzling!
