@Silverbuzzsuccess i don't think there has been any steps made, so far, to regulate credit default swaps or the derivatives markets. If you haven't already, I recommend watching the documentary "Inside Job." There is some legal references, but it heavily discusses failure to regulate - both before and after the financial crisis of 2008 - the derivatives markets as well as credit default swaps.
