Not really, you're descibing the HRE when it was becoming weaking and lead to a civil war between the 3 brothers. But for most of its existence as an actual empire(discluding the time post-civil war), the HRE was ruled by strong kings.

I can run highest settings (ALL + including best shadows) and the max amount of men in one battle which is tons tens tons If i remember correct. AND I can use fraps it still DOESNT lagg.
Man, that's running slow as hell! Mine runs on max settings at 1920x1080 on my HDTV, and I used to think bad things when I saw the slightest stutter... but that's just SLOW!
England and the Holy Roman Empire are both good but England is at a Geographical Advantage because the on an island and when your the Holy Roman Empire you get attacked from very early on.

Don't be rediculous. The England faction's got one of the easiest starting positions, and longbowmen are effective, if you think peasant archers are better you're nuts. check the stats and abilitys on both if you don't believe me.

actually it was a holy empire, it just wasnt Roman. Its religion was Roman Catholicism though up until the protestant reformation.
