I knew that. I meant the bacteria infection. I couldn't understand what they were saying at first, but now I realize it's berkholderia cepacia.

It's spelt Burkholderia cepacia. If you have any questions on it, feel free to ask. I'm a bit of an expert....

Ah. I've never heard of it until I saw this ep. This ep makes it seem like the infection is a death sentence for people w/ CF. Is it? Did you know someone whose had it?

It can be fatal, but not 100% of the time. There are CFers who had B. cepacia infections and are still alive. It just really weakens the lungs and all, makes breathing hard and such. I don't know anyone who has had a B. cepacia complex infection, but I do know some CFers myself.
