and yes we all can say that he beats herman li but it dosent mean herman is a bad player its just he makes mistakes lots of people do and besides do you really expect him to play at god like speeds just like he did on the album and then play all god like live ...really come on
Herman Li isn't a bad player; all that says is just how good Rusty is, but there is no reason why he shouldn't be able to do it live - look at Yngwie; he can do it drunk. Also John Petrucci; (I don't see many players that perform their music as well as he does). Admittedly Herman Li is nowhere near as good as the aforementioned players, but performance is part of being a musician. I just happen not to be a fan of the band, because I think they make fun of technical guitar playing.

actually if you go out touring you meet other bands and such theirs actually alot of people just like this so its hard to break in a mainstream world where only musicians could understand whats going on in the song compared to a normal listener who will think your a god when you play 9 songs all in the key of C

He's such a cool guy and modest too. I met him and got to talk to him a camp I went to and every once in a while I send him e-mails. It's cool that he takes time out of his busy days for that kind of stuff.

modles like the S,SA,and somtimes the X like the new Xiphos model have really great cutways ..and some jem modles have execellent cutways but my RG's cutaway is a little annoying so i really see it as a great thing that dean has supplied rusty with a nice deepass cutaway
That's true - They ought to do RG models with larger cutaways; that would be good. I'd also like to see an RG model without a middle pup, and a three-way selector, and controls set lower, a la JPM, but it isn't going to happen. It looks like I need a custom body made :-P.
yeah you could do that but i havent seen any custom bodys that ibanez makes in a long time ...thats unless you want a weird desing to the body ..but yeah the cutaway can be an annoyance
but i cant complain to much there some ways to get use to it but other times its a pest so i cant really say bad shit about it ibanez is still making good guitars right
They are making good guitars - I like the new RG prestiges a lot, and the RG in general. I prefer the dot inlay to the sharktooth though. There are a few people that do custom bodies (so not official), but hopefully one day i'll get around to it and it won't be too pricey :-P

I agree with Pavoloco, I heard a little preview on a podcast a while ago and its very good stuff! He plays lots of slow and melodic licks then he will like all-out shred it!!
He really teaches very well, and messes around with his badass riffs, he will just go from an easy riff to something from a song he made up or something like that, just for fun, its the best kind of lesson you would ever want.
He's just doing some minor headbanging, lol, I'm one of his students (He teaches at Music-Go-Round in Texas) He's badass, i bought their Outworld CD from him personally, only $15 no tax :P Yes, he's amazing, and i get to hear him every week, hehehe, i luffs it.
Fuck I got his Shred Guitar Manifesto dvd and my chops are 10 times better then they're ever been, I can't imagine how face to face lessons are with him, you're one lucky fucker.

Cos he is very short. About 5'5". That's a regular sized 7-string i believe (25.5" scale length etc).
On the opposite hand, Gibson have to make an extra-large Les Paul for Buckethead since he is about 6'6"- 6'7" so imagine if Rusty had Bucket's guitar!!

Well you gotta be careful with relatively new amp companies cos for example Krank amps are known to break down on ya after only half a year or so. But yeah- insane stretch for a small guy (5'5"-ish) and that bad ass Dean is on my "to buy" list!!! lol.

I agree with Pavoloco, I heard a little preview on a podcast a while ago and its very good stuff! He plays lots of slow and melodic licks then he will like all-out shred it!!

He really teaches very well, and messes around with his badass riffs, he will just go from an easy riff to something from a song he made up or something like that, just for fun, its the best kind of lesson you would ever want.

Fuck I got his Shred Guitar Manifesto dvd and my chops are 10 times better then they're ever been, I can't imagine how face to face lessons are with him, you're one lucky fucker.

Cos he is very short. About 5'5". That's a regular sized 7-string i believe (25.5" scale length etc).
On the opposite hand, Gibson have to make an extra-large Les Paul for Buckethead since he is about 6'6"- 6'7" so imagine if Rusty had Bucket's guitar!!

Oh yeah of course not. That's why music is the best pastime IMO cos sports require you to be young & physically athletic for the best part but music you can be the equivalent of a 90-year old Shawn Lane but still be number 1. Music is very unique in that sense.

Nope. Sig Dean coming out soon. The reason he left Ibanez was cos they had him down as a class C guitarist in the pecking order with Vai & Satriani as Class A etc. He was obviosly pissed so he left. I would be pissed too if they put 2 old hat players who i could kill above me!!!

Well you gotta be careful with relatively new amp companies cos for example Krank amps are known to break down on ya after only half a year or so. But yeah- insane stretch for a small guy (5'5"-ish) and that bad ass Dean is on my "to buy" list!!! lol.
