When I straighten my hair,I usually put heat protection spray in it,and it won't leave that burnt smell no matter what type of flat iron you use.After I put in the spray I brush through it about three or four times,and then I use that flat iron on it,and run through about 5 times,and I keep on doing that.I think it only takes me a half an hour though(I have wavy hair)

@iloveshane77 ( Continued ) I don't have a chair that goes high enough to reach the mirror in my bathroom correctly so I have to work harder at it. which that leads to me sweating, so when that happens, I have to take a break till I stop sweating because... as you know, sweating is defeating the whole purpose of flat ironing because it just makes your roots curly again .

So I only flat iron my hair once or twice a year . Oh, and I have a Sedu by the way. It's pretty good at getting your hair silky smooth pin straight . I just wish it didn't take me so long to flat iron it . I'm so thinking about cutting my hair so it doesn't have to take so long cause all damn day is just ridiculous .

my hair takes like 1 hour and 30 min. to 2 hours to straighten and its just above my shoulders. im half Puerto Rican so my hair is like really curly and poofy. When my hair was long it took me like 4 hours to straighten. i cut it a few times thinking it would help but i was wrong :/ i can spend hours straightening my hair, using heat protectant spray of course, and it just curls up 30 min. later. I've tried Everything literally. no matter how much hairspray i put in it, the curls NEVER fail .!

ive found that the best straightening tools or flat iron ore the NO NAME BRAND!! they are a) cheaper B) work hot no matter what C) stay hot ( ive found that even chi (YES CHI) once you get half way done its not as hot, so you have to live it alone wasting alot more tim) and d) did i even mention alot cheaper!!!!)

I think you should have someone who knows how to use a hot tool, like a flat iron. It can be very dangerous for a young kid like your self, so please for your safety ask someone for aid. Hope that helped!

You don't need to worry about straightening your hair right now. Brush it and try to keep it straight, with brush, after washing it, that always helps.
