Us humans should just get used to the idea that we're nothing more than prey to some sharks, not some superior beings who shouldn't be touched by any other creature! I agree, it's mean to kill whales, but it's just as mean of us humans to just kill sharks by the hundreds, merely because they defend their home.. Most shark attacks are mistakes anyway.. did you know that a shark can't tell a surfer on a board from a seal when he's 100m below them?

It's hard to understand how amazing a close-up whale breach is just seeing it on video. I was lucky enough to be in Maui this winter during peak season, and we saw breaches every day, even just from the shore. One breach was only fifty feet from the boat, a full adult male vertical in the air, towering over us. It would be like if you were walking along and suddenly a school bus leapt straight up out of the ground in front of you.

No, they don't do anything to attract the whales. If they did, it might be detrimental to the whales. I've gone on 3 whale watching trips and have been lucky to see whales every time. On the last one, we saw a triple breach... Amazing!!!!!

There is nothing like seeing this firsthand. I just got home from a cruise to Alaska and we went on a whale watching excursion in Juneau. The whales were very lively that day. We saw lots of orcas and humpbacks. Even saw a DOUBLE humpback breach. Such awesome animals!

@SUPERQUACK101 Whales are not fish. They're aquatic mammals. But the biggest fish I think is actually the whale shark, which is nearly harmless to humans. Terrifying looking though.

But they're absolutely amazing animals, one of the most amazing in my opinion. Humpbacks and Orcas are my favorites. Whales are my favorite animal in general and watching this amazes me every time!
