The street fights I witnessed, my friends were able to shoot in and close the distance vs boxers. Their double legged take downs didn't work 100% but it did lead to them bringing it to the ground and getting on top of the other guy and dropping elbows and splitting the other guys head open.

Doesn't matter who the boxer is. it's " Boxing" thats the problem. Boxing can't beat "Groundfighting " ( Bjj, wrestling ,judo ) . been proven time and time again. for those of you who will say " but if the boxer can defend the takedown he will win". that means the boxer will have to learn some groundfighting skills to beat a a grappler, so he's no longer a "Boxer". a grappler doesn't need any boxing skills to beat a boxer. none,0 nada!!

@woolies9494 A grappler doesn't have to throw 1 punch to beat a striker/boxer in a real fight. he will take him down and submit him. i have trained in boxing and grappling and had many streetfights but never competed in a ring or cage. at alot of MMA gyms they have one guy put on box gloves and try to his a grappler to stop the takedown and 999 times out of a 1000 the guy with boxing gloves is on his back and even if they do land a punch it's not enough to stop the takedown.

@ClearwaterMMA submissions don't occur in street fights besides almost any type of martial arts has a bacis on strikes kicks and grappeling whether it's jui-jitsu, zenryoku(the art which i am currently mastering) or something like kung fu, all based on strikes kicks or grappeling. they just have their strengths and weaknesses

Its not like boxing where Prospects are fighting cans or fighters out of their prime, even using cache weight to make their records look even better. boxing is too regulated its fixed.
