I have a Taurus also and it's jammed only once in about 10,000 rounds. Turned out it was the junk Winchester ammo I had loaded into a magazine. The Taurus magazines are tougher than hell and in my opinion the springs are TOO damn strong. The only drawback.
We own this gun and it is very accurate. We've never had FTF or FTE and we use the stock mags. We haven't found any ammo it wouldn't shoot. The size is small which makes it excellent for carry. It also makes it feel like your shooting a .40 caliber. You need to keep a firm grip with each shot.
The only problem I see with this gun is the trigger pull which is heavy. I assume that makes it somewhat more safe to carry.
It's the polymer frame. It has to break in & polish up a bit. I have a PT-111 that I bought when they first came out & after the first few boxes it smoothed right up. I also bought aftermarket mags & the misfeed trouble went away. The gun shop recommended getting them. I think most of the bad rap is the mags, not the gun. It's a good concealable gun. My next gun will be the PT-1911. Heard lots of good things said about it by local owners.
There may be a reason for it that I'm unaware of but isn't the American Flag backwards on your hat. I was always told the brand should be on the left in the eye of the viewer.
I bought my pt111 pro making it my first gun and after watching this video I was kind of disappointed but went to the range last week to try my gun and it did not jammed even once and I started hitting the target 6 out of 12 at 36ft and by the end of my 100 practice I was hitting the target 10 out of 12 at the same distance and I shot the bulls eye 3 times, I would say that to be the first time I use a gun I did good and this is a good gun just follow the tips from other experience shooters.
You are limp wristing, hold your wrist tighter, it is a good gun it doesnt have much range though, mine is about 20 ft after that its lucky to hit the board, plus the mag holder broke and the clip just fell out ! LOL
I had my PT 111 jamming. A gunsmith shot four mags through it and he had no problem. He was on target. He told me it's a good gun and very accurate. I was told to hold it tighter and my problem would be solved. Believe it or not, jams were gone. I was shooting 85% center mass. I felt safe with the gun now
@tccoup355 "Limp wristing"? huh? He's actually holding it too tight, from what I see. You want a soft trigger pull for accuracy & that isn't "limp wristing".
I just got the pt111 milli pro 9mm had a slight problem with it not locking and firing had to push alittle forward and get it to lock up. Took a 9mm reamer tool and took 1-2 thousandths out and no problems after 50 rounds headspace was too tight.
Couple things there is no such thing as a good gun that has that many problems. Buy a firearm that works everytime you pull the trigger. Also I think alot of your problem is your limp wristing the gun. Your getting alot of muzzle flip from a 9mm. I don't get that much shooting .40sw 180 grain +p loads. Theres been a couple folks on here to say it, save up and buy a good firearm. Is your life not worth the couple extra dollars.
@SFCGrazier haha sure it is. I think eventually the enlisted pay grade will wear on you. So will the barracks. Doesn't take a lot of guys long to figure out that enlisting can get you stuck in a rutt really fast if you're looking for a career
wow. shoulda got a S&W M&P 9 compact, absolutely zero malfunction in thousands of rounds, worth the $150 extra to get one over a taurus, plus plinking's more fun when there's no ftf/fte's. I had a chrome pt111 pro and it jammed too. traded it up for a norinco 1911a1 and it too is 100% flawless.
ammo versy dirty man looks like my reloads. ( Stupid alliant bullseye)
u keep pressing the magazine realease by mistake since is a small frame gun, the follow up shot is not chambering cus the magazine is not attached completly, sorry about my crapy english.
lol dont make a video if your gun is jamming. wait until you get it repaired. ( i know it was ur mags man but still). you just gave taurus a bad name.
@SFCGrazier the only problem I have ever had with my second gen 111 pro is the firing pin broke. Sent the gun back and they sent me a new slide. It must have been from dry firing. Long trigger pull = trigger practice. Its only jamed like 5 times because when I cleaned it, I didnt oil the slide very well so it was just dry.
I own the pt140 pro. The problem your having is more than likely magazine related. Take it apart clean good. Also if your having trouble with mag drop like I did with my paticular way I hold my mag. Switch the mag release to the right of the gun. That way your thumb or any other parts will hit it while firing. Real easy to do. I think there is a youtube video of it. Good luck
Wow after I just finished deciphering your half ass English I think I understand what you said. If you looked you dummy in the annotations I said "all I have to do is tap it forward". Learn some English you idiot. Usted entiende eso?
Really? I found that I am more accurate with this than I am with a Glock 23. I think a lot of people misinterpret what this handgun is for, in my opinion I believe it is a training tool because of the frequent jams and miss feeds it has. If you give a trainee this weapon and tell him to master it, they will be so proficient with that when they use a glock or sig that they will know exactly what to do. What do you think?
I agree, I could see this as a training gun. My personal philosophy is only to train with weapons you intend on using. (When it comes to handguns, I would definitly train with a .22 chambered AR-15) But, if it works for you more power to you man. You seem like an intelligent, and kind person. Good luck, and thanks for posting these vids.
when i first bought mine it had some feeding issues due to the tightnes of the recoil spring and the cheap ammo i was using. after a couple hundred rounds though it . it runs flawlessly now
Sights are a bit different for me but you know just practice with it about hundred rounds a weekend and by about a month it will be second nature. Thanks for the comment bro
taurus blows...sorry. i'm speaking from my experience. i have a PT 99 back for service right now for the second time. the rear adjustable sight keeps falling apart. they've had it for a month already.
every time i see this gun at the local shop i almost buy it but i hear bad things about taurus what did you think of it? im not to worried about the feeding issues a new mag would probly solve that. the price is right on these tho
it was the magazine dude. for some reason i did not use my new one. i was using the old one that came with the gun and it has a crappy spring. the spring is kinda wore out and it rattles a bit. but the new one works great. i would bet my life on the gun if i had to.

with any mag fed weapon, if the last round jams it means you have a bad mag.
