Save the Park - Short Version

HI Alan, you are correct, the old school isnt good, however the new school planned in 2004 for rebuild on site was ok. The councils paper thin veil of respectability re the superb 21st century school on the park is a ruse to build housing there. Even now they are trying to negotiate with Queen margaret college to buy land to move the golfcourse. It is a tragedy for locals and for the environment.

We all want a new school but not at the loss of the last bit of green in the area.,

I wouldn't want to loose any green space around Portobello or Edinburgh but we do need a new school. I went to porte high from 01 to 07 and hated it. The building is terrible, ceilings full of holes and toilets disgusting. It's a horrible place to have studied in and glad that I no longer go there. Hopefully, the golf course can be kept, it's a no win situation for someone.
