@vanmaarwijk it's very hard for a costa rican player to play in such a great team such as Arsenal, other players like Fabregas are used to be in great teams, but for a costa rican just playing in the premier league for any team is a great achievement, Arsenal gave Joel a chance that many players in Costa Rica will never get, Joel knows that so I don't think Joel sees Arsenal just as his next team, is the club that believed in him and gave him the opportunity of his life.

Costa Rica's National Team played 2 matches in San Salvador de Jujuy, in both matches people grew attached to Campbell and nicknamed him "The Panther". I know who David Suazo is, but I didn't know he was also called the panther. I guess now we have 2 panthers in Central America.

this myth that arsenal are a selling club is bull we sell players at the right timefor all parties especially us give me one example of a player that left arsenal in their prime to win, say a double playing in the first team of another club... thats what I thought

@doobeedoobeedooo agreed but it is pretty rare for teams to win doubles in any league ( 'cept the Scottish PL maybe;o) I can only think of Hleb of top of my head who went somewhere else and won the La Liga in his first season. Most of Arsene's sales are older players, Henry, Pires Freddy etc or players who obviously are causing problems, Adebayor, Anelka. Flamini and Hleb were big losses but weren't happy so no point in keeping them.

Why do people always welcome a player before the deal is finalized?! Skysports does not equal official! If there is confirmation on Arsenal.com you can count on it. If not then he could just as well be on his way to another club. In fact I just heard strong rumors that another team is in for him - bet this turns out to be another "Alvarez"
