Guess what? There is a second game on the SNES! In fact, there is also a THIRD and FOURTH game on the SNES! They were only released in Japan, but are playable without needing to know Japanese (for the most part). The second one is my favourite.
I still remember when my friends and I played this game in Japanese and we stuck at the part that we need a passport to get to another place. Man, that sucks that we gang up every single person in town till we were bored. Now we know how to get pass it haha.
One of the most beautiful soundtracks any game could have. One of the masterpieces of snes, I've played this game like a hojillion times and never get bored :D
This was my favorite game, no other part that came afterwards (n64) can beat the good ol SNES version, i only wish part two was released here as well, still looking for a translation.
This was so one of the first games I played for the SNES, and to be honest the fact that it was underrated really annoyed me. There's nothing like chilling at the carnival for a while then going to gamble to save up enough money for those extra lives...talk about a rip off 500 dollars! Besides that though this game played a big role in my early years =)
Excellent music, as usual from Konami, great flutes and percussion ..Too bad they didn't bring more Goemon games to the states. I guess they were deemed too Japanese for American audiences.
*welcome, everything is delicious here.* this one was certainly underrated, i had a lot of fun with it way back when. @Mr1nce i agree, that one is one of the best, but i think the one from 4:04-4:53 is the most memorable one for me. also, 7:57-8:42 is classic. the soundtrack overall is great.
@hazmat151 yeah from 4:04-4:53 is that classic jam. The start to the whole adventure. 7:57-8:42 is crazy sweet I used to listen to this song for 10 to 15 min before I would even start playing the game. GOOD TIMES EVERYBODY, GOOD TIMES ^_^ I HAVEN'T PLAYED A GOOD CO-OP GAME WITH A SOLID STORY LIKE THIS SINCE THIS GAME AND POCKY AND ROCKY.
I just don't know why, but every song on here makes me want to get up and do something, lol. It has a huge nostalgia value and it's inspiring! (in a weird way :/)
I don't like to admit this (the only reason my fiancee knows is cuz we live together) but when i'm in the right mood i turn on certain video game tracks and dance to them...like the battletoads and megaman 3 intro...i can't help myself
This is one of my favorite games from when I was a kid. I made some pretty elaborate guitar pro files for some levels, including the boss battle. If you want them just send me a message.
This game had a lot of character. I wish more games took this approach to aesthetics and storytelling. I think the music reflects this well. It's kind of a funky-classic-japanese mash up. I like it a lot.
how was it possible to make such an awesome game like this? this is a masterpeice. this game is a true form of art in music and gameplay and level design. this game even has humor going for it, like using a crackpipe as a weapon.
My favorite beat is the second to last one...at 8:00...takes my breath away...
Also, this video doesnt have some of the very BEST beats from this video game as well....whoever produced this video game is a keyboard and bassline genious...ever

@philly1101 one of the best beats in my opinion starts from 5:35 and goes to 6:12 that beat is so smooth. You here that song in the game when you gamble with the dice in the HIGH/LOW GAME. I'm tryin to find sombody to link that beat so I can hear it in this link you only listen to it a little bit and that drives me crazy.

You're on drugs, this is some of the most fun you could have with a SNES and a friend in 1991/92. Zelda meets River City Ransom meets sometimes-sidescrolling platformer as done by Konami, can't go wrong gameplay-wise.
Uhhh some of the minigames were better than actual Nintendo releases for the SNES. The gameplay was awesome for that time (way better than even Contra III).

This is like the theme music, brings back sooooooo many memories from 1992!!! Can't believe it's been 17 years since then! All the music is good in this but I also like the music at 2:51, it's awesome!
Absolute classic game, great music - so soothing at many points! Makes me cry because I remember I use to play this game with my brother for hours on end back in the early 1990's and miss that time sooooooo much!!! How things change when time goes by, damn, it will never be the same!!!!
Where's Part II???!!! You left out two of the best music levels - the crazy old man's castle, and the mountain.... Those were the best. Amazing how this primitive game can have suche awesome music...

I never liked SNES.. (i moved to Sega for the 16 bit wars) - but SNES does have some good games.. this being one of them...a good use for the cartoony fx i usually dont care for.. but this is an exception
Yeah, I can understand a person not liking certain games for a system, but how can you not like the system itself? Unless it's something like the Virtual Boy, of course, since it causes actual physical pain.
uh no, there were 4 games in the series released in the US. One for the SNES which is this game. One called Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon for N64, another called Goemon's Greatest Adventure for the N64. The last is the same name of the SNES game but for gameboy

The gameplay itself was mediocre, but most of the soundtrack was excellent.
A lot of the songs amazed me back in '91, and they still hold up fine today.
