  • Gaaah!! I wish there was a second game!!!

  • @bleedinggoths

Guess what? There is a second game on the SNES! In fact, there is also a THIRD and FOURTH game on the SNES! They were only released in Japan, but are playable without needing to know Japanese (for the most part). The second one is my favourite.

  • I still remember when my friends and I played this game in Japanese and we stuck at the part that we need a passport to get to another place. Man, that sucks that we gang up every single person in town till we were bored. Now we know how to get pass it haha.

  • man this brings back good memories!! me my bro and cousin would play this all the time!! nothing like a classic!

  • i wanna ride a tiger

  • I remember this game, When I first got this game the music was pretty cool.. At 4:05 was the best track in the game, very catchy...

  • One of the most beautiful soundtracks any game could have. One of the masterpieces of snes, I've played this game like a hojillion times and never get bored :D

  • best snes-music ever + genious gameplay :)

  • My little brother and I used to think the scrolls were sausages. hehe

  • Great game, brings back memories!

  • This was my favorite game, no other part that came afterwards (n64) can beat the good ol SNES version, i only wish part two was released here as well, still looking for a translation.

  • I loved this game, and the music was a huge part of the experience. Brilliant soundtrack.

  • the first jam is the best. the one frm the ofatu army. bad ass!

  • 8:00-9:40 good music for my ears

  • This was so one of the first games I played for the SNES, and to be honest the fact that it was underrated really annoyed me. There's nothing like chilling at the carnival for a while then going to gamble to save up enough money for those extra lives...talk about a rip off 500 dollars! Besides that though this game played a big role in my early years =)

  • ^_^

  • I used to be glued to the screen trying to finish this game.

  • are there any covers of this music? it's so cool, the real japanese drive xD

  • freaking old games are so damn hard. i still havent gotten past the first 4 minutes of this game, i ragequit too fast.

  • Excellent music, as usual from Konami, great flutes and percussion ..Too bad they didn't bring more Goemon games to the states. I guess they were deemed too Japanese for American audiences.

  • i was a kid play with my brother ah was so nice realy good times realy hardcore game^^

  • I love two player mode on this game, in the ninja castle it is the one of the first Co-Op games that you want to punch the other guy in the face.

  • *welcome, everything is delicious here.* this one was certainly underrated, i had a lot of fun with it way back when. @Mr1nce i agree, that one is one of the best, but i think the one from 4:04-4:53 is the most memorable one for me. also, 7:57-8:42 is classic. the soundtrack overall is great.

  • @hazmat151 yeah from 4:04-4:53 is that classic jam. The start to the whole adventure. 7:57-8:42 is crazy sweet I used to listen to this song for 10 to 15 min before I would even start playing the game. GOOD TIMES EVERYBODY, GOOD TIMES ^_^ I HAVEN'T PLAYED A GOOD CO-OP GAME WITH A SOLID STORY LIKE THIS SINCE THIS GAME AND POCKY AND ROCKY.

  • @Mr1nce hell ya dude iam playing the game now and that has to be my favorite song. playing the one on n64 with my brother as well

  • I just don't know why, but every song on here makes me want to get up and do something, lol. It has a huge nostalgia value and it's inspiring! (in a weird way :/)

  • @Bustersword07

I don't like to admit this (the only reason my fiancee knows is cuz we live together) but when i'm in the right mood i turn on certain video game tracks and dance to them...like the battletoads and megaman 3 intro...i can't help myself

  • This is one of my favorite games from when I was a kid. I made some pretty elaborate guitar pro files for some levels, including the boss battle. If you want them just send me a message.

  • Awesome game. Great co-op. Shame there's so little in good co-op nowadays.

  • @me1ne very true a shame indeed

  • Come to think of it, I never tire of playing the beginning of this game over and over again.

  • I think Samurai Champloo got some inspiration from this game. You can feel a sort of creepy-time-of-time over tone.

  • Oh how i love this game! It never fails to put me in a good mood.

  • This game had a lot of character. I wish more games took this approach to aesthetics and storytelling. I think the music reflects this well. It's kind of a funky-classic-japanese mash up. I like it a lot.

  • how was it possible to make such an awesome game like this? this is a masterpeice. this game is a true form of art in music and gameplay and level design. this game even has humor going for it, like using a crackpipe as a weapon.

  • this game is a legend the bigg LEGEND

  • My favorite beat is the second to last one...at 8:00...takes my breath away...

Also, this video doesnt have some of the very BEST beats from this video game as well....whoever produced this video game is a keyboard and bassline genious...ever

  • @philly1101 one of the best beats in my opinion starts from 5:35 and goes to 6:12 that beat is so smooth. You here that song in the game when you gamble with the dice in the HIGH/LOW GAME. I'm tryin to find sombody to link that beat so I can hear it in this link you only listen to it a little bit and that drives me crazy.

  • My favorite beat is the second to last one...at 8:00...takes my breath away...

Also, this video doesnt have some of the very BEST beats from this video game as well....whoever produced this video game is a keyboard and bassline genious...ever

  • i always loved mystical ninja music!!

  • @8:00 , always get the chills listening to this.

solid harmonies in this game. They don't make 'em like they used to..

  • this game is underrated

  • "OH NO."

    totally fitting for Goemon's expression.

  • "The gameplay itself was mediocre"

You're on drugs, this is some of the most fun you could have with a SNES and a friend in 1991/92. Zelda meets River City Ransom meets sometimes-sidescrolling platformer as done by Konami, can't go wrong gameplay-wise.

  • Uhhh some of the minigames were better than actual Nintendo releases for the SNES. The gameplay was awesome for that time (way better than even Contra III).

  • That was a fun 2 player game!

And dang.. *hears the first song being played* I don't remember it having all that bass. Kick. AZZ.

  • Ahhh... Mystical Ninja. Such an awesome game. And such a memorable soundtrack. I remember spending hours in the lotto house alone!

Tiger - A for the win!

Fatal Fury Special - Chuugoku Yonsen'nen No Rekishi To Wa Ika Ni Ii

  • i'm sad when i see that gaming means more "money making" than "playing," today. :((

  • I love this ninja rock style, need more soundtracks like tenchu, revenge of shinobi, street fighter's sakurai mankai...

  • ahhhh Happy Music!!! ^O^ woot woot. Had wonderful memories with this game! ^__^v

  • wonderful music ... love it!! *-*

  • 4:05 = epic music

  • This is like the theme music, brings back sooooooo many memories from 1992!!! Can't believe it's been 17 years since then! All the music is good in this but I also like the music at 2:51, it's awesome!

  • If you enjoyed this game, I highly recommend its Japan-only sequel. The two other Super Famicom games are merely ok, but number 2 is awesome.

  • classic game i played 18 years ago with my little brother. good memories. i also loved the gambling that was so much fun

  • Absolute classic game, great music - so soothing at many points! Makes me cry because I remember I use to play this game with my brother for hours on end back in the early 1990's and miss that time sooooooo much!!! How things change when time goes by, damn, it will never be the same!!!!

  • i loved this game with a passion and still do. dont know why i was so drawn to it. loved the two player game play and the gambling.

  • You knew you were a badass when you killed somebody with a spiked yo-yo or a party whistle. True story.

  • Where's Part II???!!! You left out two of the best music levels - the crazy old man's castle, and the mountain.... Those were the best. Amazing how this primitive game can have suche awesome music...

  • Saying you don't like the SNES is like not liking food. It's impossible.

  • Yeah, I can understand a person not liking certain games for a system, but how can you not like the system itself? Unless it's something like the Virtual Boy, of course, since it causes actual physical pain.

  • one of the greatest/funniest ninja games EVAH!!!!!

  • My most favourite level was the carnival where you could bet on horse races, etc...I spent hours there.

    I hated the mountain level...grrr...

  • uh no, there were 4 games in the series released in the US. One for the SNES which is this game. One called Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon for N64, another called Goemon's Greatest Adventure for the N64. The last is the same name of the SNES game but for gameboy

  • 2:51 Otafu's headquarters? Stage 3, right?

  • I sometimes still play this game just to hear the music.

  • lol same

  • the first song you hear in this video I like those drum beats! great game!

  • The Best Music in the History of Video Games

  • always made me mad all the snes sequals to this never came out in america. I loved this game

  • to hard for most people,it's weird though cause the next 4 sequels(all for the super famicom) were way easy.

  • i love 2:51 to 3:33

  • always loved this music - especially at 1:40

the N64 game had a great soundtrack too - especially when the villains performed an opera piece before attacking you.

  • This was such an awesome game.

  • Wow, I Remeber This Game. I Use To Watch My Brother Play This : ]

  • One of the best yet overlooked games to ever be on the SNES

  • While my favorite music in the game's between 4:06 to 4:56

  • what's the name of the level?

  • Edo

  • oh, thanks

  • The N64 Goemon game ruled. The further you got, the more bizar the plot became :x

  • i love the drum beats makes me want to go tokyo japan and travel with this music

  • those cut scenes when travelling between locations were always hilarious

  • The Goemon games had a rather unusual sense of humor. The style was more like an action-based sitcom.

  • Ahhhh... The 90s....

  • I love the music to mystical ninja sounds like shin-chan but this rules

  • Konami, release another Goemon game outside of Japan, or I can't be responsible for my actions.

I especially loved the N64 ones, they rocked!

  • I liked mystical ninja beter than goemons great adventures

  • My 2 favourites were the very first song and the one starting at 4:56. I used to over play this game on the weekend and most days after school. The furthest i ever made it to was the boss with the 2 sumo wrestlers, awesome game.

  • The song when the town is haunted is my favorite music in the game. The maze palace in the fourth palace has a pretty good theme as well.

  • the drum beats in the first song are so awesome.

  • The boss music was just epic...EPIC I SAY!

  • ohhh i love goemon, and the especially =)

    moi moi

want a new goemon ... or at least the one for DS shall come to europe

  • Damn I fucking love this music I miss the Goemon games.

  • Lol, I was just playing this game. :O

  • Awesome. Konami certainly had some talented music staff, along with Super Castlevania IV, this is my favourite game soundtrack from the SNES days.

  • It doesn't get much more japanese than this. I love this game! Some of the best music ever!

  • :O

    Sweet.
