  • Yea...it usually only takes me about 20 to 40 strokes to.

  • this video is a joke.

  • i tried using this stuff, i got confused. so i put it somewhere that i forgot where i had put it. too bad i didnt youtube how to use it before i did that though

  • i have some small scratches on my car that i don't think needs fixing. do scratches spread/get bigger over time? or do they just stay the way it is? please answer !

  • lol the bald guy looks like a turtle hhhhhhhahhhh...

  • Hello Tommy i am really amazed by your product i am looking forward to it but the only thing is that i just brought a car which is a 2005 Mercedes CLK-DTM i think your familiar with the car. Anyways the problem with car is that it had a foil wrapped on it before and now it has been removed but due to bad foil quality the paint on all the edges has been gone its like gone and i wondered if this product could help me ?? :)

  • I tried this product on my ''04 silver Envoy. The results weren't good and I ended up taking it to the body shop.

  • Can i use this product on my car in the sun at about 65 degrees farenhite?

  • Hey turt look what i did to my car

  • He didn't show what it looked like after the process. Before the process he showed a close up. Makes it look like some type of fraud.

  • Very nice product demo, I will pick it up next time. Thanks

  • @imthekashmeister Thank You. Let me know what you think after you try the product out for yourself! -Tommy

  • I'm an idiot to have used DupliColor.. didn't know TurtleWax had this product. Good stuff guys!

  • come to my house!!

  • hi. about to order the product- looks great. Few questions- my car is black & it has a fair few scratches and stone chips....

with the deeper scratches, you mentioned earlier the touch up paint method. Is it the same as this, but instead of using the clear coat pen, you use touch up paint?

Also will this work effectively on stone chips on a front bumper bar?

    thanks in advance =)

  • @rExEED1 Sometimes touch up paint is needed on deep scratches and stone clips. Apply a thin coat of touch up paint to the chip or scratch. Remove excess paint immediately from surrounding paint with a soft towel, or let dry and use a compound to remove excess touch up paint. Next, fill the scratch or chip with the clear coat pen. Apply two coats. Then follow the remaining restoration instructions on the kit. - Tommy

  • the scratch on the video looks like 1inch tops. why do we have to sand more than the damage area? wouldn't that remove the clearcoat from the undamage area?

  • @tl2oY The Scratch Repair kit contains sanding pads and compound that are not strong enough to remove all of the clear coat. You would need to wet sand for several minutes to do that. As long as you use 20 – 40 strokes per pad no damage will occur.

  • @BigTwoSevenKills Paint peeling is usually delamination of the clear coat. This condition can happen for several reasons; including improper preparation prior to painting, extreme exposure to environmental conditions, and neglecting the paint surface.

  • 3 Persons can't remove the scratches

  • Just bought this product, works good with light scratches, but the deep ones not so great. It helps but you could still see it. I would recommend touch up paint for the deep ones and the turtle wax scratch remover for the light ones.

  • What do you suggest for a car with deep scratches and chips all over? (Besides a new paint job!).

  • @KkF00 Try Turtle Wax Premium Rubbing Compound Stock # T-415. It is perfectly safe to use on a clear coat paint. Wash the car and work on a small section at a time using extra back and forth motion on heavier scratches. When completed next use the Clay Bar Kit. All kits will work well at removing surface contamination. Follow with an application of Ice Paste Polish or Turtle Wax Carnauba wax. Next purchase matching touch up paint to fill in the stone chips as a final step. - Tommy

  • after repairing what product did you use to wax the car? Xd

  • @TheFullreloaded Afterwards, Mike used ICE liquid to protect the surface.

  • good stuff

  • nice JEEP

  • where could i buy this? i live in sweden, Motala.

  • hey, i have a bunch of scratches on my food from ice due to a snow blower, theres tons of them, is there a method or product you can suggest to get a 2 foot diameter circle of scratches?

  • the one person to dislike it bought "Fix It".

  • This looks like a product I could use. Will it work when a scratch is deep enough to where touch-up paint is needed? Are the same steps followed as were shown in the video, or is an extra step or two required?

  • @cmbickers Yes, the kit will work with any matching touch up paint. Clean and fill scratch with matching touch up paint. Let dry for 24 hours and follow the sanding regimen outlined in the Scratch Repair Kit using gentle pressure.

  • With deep scratch, scratches that show a huge chunk of primer, do I just go ahead first with filling it in with touch up paint? Then what do I do? I have the Kit... just trying to get the kit understood carefully before i do anything. Can someone please explain to me in detail? (My scratch is not like the one in the video, its chipped and showing the black primer. My car is dark blue.)

  • Stuff worked great for me.

  • I have a scratch on my car, that shows a inch and half tall the black primer streak on my bumper. The the border or edges of the scratch is jagged. Should I sand the jagged edges of the scratches down first or trace my touch up paint on the jagged part till I get one circular scratch - THEN paint it in with my touch up paint? Hopefully this makes sense. I can send in a picture of scratch - if it'll help! My other question is, I used Pad #1 after I put touch up paint on the primer?

  • "You start by lubricating the surface."

    THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!

  • A very good informative video but the DIY enthusiast may well have a larger blemish when they finish as some posters have found! I tried the product, but had to use a machine polisher to get the blemish around the scratch out. Use at ones Peril!

  • I live in toronto, who carry this item, i havent found this stuff. plsss help mike..

  • @jerk168 You can find our Turtle Wax Scratch Kit at Walmart in Canada. I would suggest calling the store first to make sure they carry it and have it in stock. Also, you can find our Turtle Wax Scratch & Swirl Remover at Canadian Tire. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions! -Tommy

  • @TurtleWaxTommy I had a long scratch on my 2011 Hyundai Genesis coupe on the hood area and I followed exactly what you did on the video with the turtle wax scratch repair kit and this stuff really works. Thanks for showing me. You guys are the best.

  • @jtfourlife I'm glad the video taught you how to do it yourself! It's my pleasure to help!

  • Hi mike, where can i find this product here in Toronto? plsss help

  • I would have been really great if they had NOT tried to demonstrate this on a black car, but chose a color where you could actually see the end result. Basically, I have no idea if this actually worked or not based on the video.

  • @TurtleWaxTommy - Got a pretty good 3-4 cm scratch (deep enough that finger nails would get caught in) on my car and tried the TWax Scratch Repair Kit. I over wet-sanded the area, so that I now have a lighter colored blemish around the scratch itself. I'm guessing I went into the clear coat and any additional wet sanding attempt will simply enlarge the blemish. Should I leave it as is or should I just apply touch up paint to the entire area and leave it at that? The scratch is completely gone.

  • hi i have a vw passat with a deep scratch....what would you recommend??

  • What if your car already has blotches of touch up paint around the scratches? Do I just go straight to wet sanding or do I have to get that paint removed first and then go through with the scratch removal process? Thank you for your time Tommy.

  • where can i buy your products in Bangkok, Thailand?

  • I woke up in the morning to find my car bonnet covered in cat scratches. Would you recommend this pen to fix them? If so what would be the best way because the scratches aren't straight and there is many of them that are close together.

  • Can you tell me if this will work if I have already tried to remove the scratch with a rubbing compound? I have also polished ans waxed over the scratch. I am finding difficult to find the touch up pen in Thailand.

  • Hey mike, how well would you say this product (which one are you using again?) would work well on a Bright silver colored car? I have scratches on my car that are deep but no primer showing at all and catch my fingernail. I'm looking to remove those eye sores. Any suggestions?

  • @MonteLSV6 The best solution is the Turtle Wax Scratch Repair Kit T-234Kt. Start by cleaning the scratch with the paint clarifying compound then use the clear coat pen to fill the scratch. If the scratch disappears, there is no damage to the color coat. If it is still visible, a light application of matching touch up paint will be needed to repair the scratch first. Follow with the clear coat pen. The remaining instructions will help you blend the repair work with the surrounding paint.

  • Great, thanks so much and I can't wait to try this product. Could I message you for any advice if I do get stuck or have any questions for the product?

  • Ive got a ford mondeo its got alot of little scratches, what would you recommend ?please help cheers .john

  • @jellis4465 Hi John, what kind of scratches do you have (swirl marks, top coat, or are they deep)?

  • @TurtleWaxTommy Got a turtlewax repair scratch kit,worked a treat.Thanks for getting back to me.Cheers pal.

  • i did not need the tape.... THE SCRATCH WAS NOT INVISIBLE!

  • Is it possible to repair the massive damaged caused by using turtle wax scratch repair kit?

I just wanted to test it on a very thin scratch and it became a big wide scratch. The giant white stain on a black car looks great

My advice would be to use quixx and let turtle wax stick to making their mediocre wax

It was on clearance for 3$ so I tried it

I guess I'll be spending a lot more to fix it

  • @TheStoicAgnostic Hey! I've had pretty good experience with the wax turtle wax maxes. I just emptied a bottle and am looking for something new. Which wax would you consider the best one?

  • @jd02nr1 Try ICE Liquid Polish or ICE Spray Wax. These products are easy to use and leave a durable, high shine.

  • @TurtleWaxTommy Thx! What do you think about the clay bar kit? Worth the extra cash?

  • @jd02nr1 Definitely. Your ride will thank you for it.

  • @TheStoicAgnostic Scratch repair can be tricky sometimes. The depth of the scratch, really effects what type of repair needs to be done. The Turtle Wax Scratch Repair Kit will help with scratches in the clear coat. These scratches usually show up white. If the scratch is deeper, through the clear coat and layer of paint, you may need to use touch up paint in conjunction with the kit. (continued....)

  • @TheStoicAgnostic If you still have marks on your paint from the 4000 grit sanding pad, you may need to spend more time with the paint clarifying compound to fix it. Several applications may be required. The compound will help to bring back the smooth finish. We hope this helps! If you are still having issues with the scratch repair and are not getting the results you expected please let us know. We will gladly put you in touch with one of our chemists.

  • repeat 3:18 :P

  • very nice..... i want to buy, but not available in here

  • I'm glad I found this guide. Very easy step by step instructions. I don't like the instructions that came with the product. It makes it seem so complicated. I will try the product tomorrow.
