Love the Young Frankenstein clip! Great play on the words there. LOL! Great video journal, too! I found your story on the Honda Mile Makers site. I hope to make it to the moon and back with the '09 Civic LX that I just bought. It's already got over 26,000 miles on it, so some of the work has been done for me. It is my very first Honda, and I don't think it will be my last. Thanks for the mile-making inspiration. :)
and i thought that only American trucks, SUVs and full sized rear wheel drive cars could do that kind of distance... not bad at all for an economy car! Ive only seen a few small cars go past 250k miles and they were all chrysler K-cars (or k- based)
Damn, Warner Music Group stripped the audio because, apparently, the song on the radio was theirs. What a bunch of punks. As if this video is going to be used to pirate the soundtrack. putzes!
Fantastic. Mine is a base line model, but the dealer talked us into the undercoating. I think that's where the magic lies. As far as the tranny and engine... full disclosure, Yes on the transmision. No on the engine. I blew a radiator hose while commuting and cooked the engine. That was at 410,000 miles.
Roy, have you considered keeping the Honda a bit longer? The redesigned 2009 Honda Accord will offer a diesel that gets 52 mpg! Since Diesel engines last forever, a Honda diesel will go 1,000,000 miles! Moon and Back 2X over!
Well if it took 21 years to go 500,000 miles and the new ones come out in 09 that would mean that in order to make it to a million I'd be over ninety years old. Interesting. Ok your on!
Good luck for the 500k mate. I was proud of my 100k effort - but now i realise that that is only the beginning of the challenge. Hope you will christen the 500k moment?!
Didn't realize this would post like that....probably shouldn't have signed my name....oh well. That's what happens when you don't know what you're doing! Haha!
Hasn't anyone ever told you you're not supposed to go 80 mph when you drive? You are setting such a bad example to everyone who watches your video!! Just kidding! I just noticed it in the first video, and I see you're still doing it. I'm enjoying these!
Well Mrs. Walker, I'll just have to do a video about it now won't I. I could drive over and do an interview it you like. Ha ha. I know I'll put a disclamer at the begining of the next ones that a professional driver is at the wheel, or this was shot on a closed course. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Well I guess you'll have to keep watching to find out. %D

That's fantastic. I figure I drove to Ireland and back almost 100 times, so I appreciate the support.

is your car a manuel or atomatic?
police360 4 years ago
Manual all the way baby. I've changed the clutch pads three times, but the tranny is solid.
rsolorio 4 years ago
do you change the trans fluid on a regular basis?
kwg2005 4 years ago
It's a manual tranny, I've just done the basic maintenance. Not even sure when the last time I had it serviced.

This is very good. I'm giddy with anticipation over the next installments.

Breath deep Mr. Doug. I'm working on the next installment and should have it up by Monday afternoon.

Very nice!
We owned a 86' Accord EX-i (fuel injection), then we sold it to our friend. He drove it to 530,000 kms (310,000 miles).
Are you on your original transmission and engine?
