  • johnny rotten your an idiot prog is what rock should be not punk nothing wrong with punk but prog is superior by far

  • Excellent exposure for prog, and Kim - just spot on! Johnny - anything that harks back to the past? A fine epitaph you provide for yourself!

This shows the meaning of progressive, as opposed to regressive!

    Prog on! :)

  • John Lydon, doing what he does best.

    Pissing people off. Well done.

The reality is that 21st Century Prog Rock sounds a lot better than 21st Centruy Punk.

I do recall Lydon having a go about modern Punk as well...

  • John Lydon doesn't like harking back to the past? Says him, with his reunion tours, and flogging his margarine advertisements. When ELP or Yes reform for a tour, its a bunch of greedy old men, but when the Pistols do it, hell yeah? Double standard much?

  • @TheAdam159 And he doesn't even see the irony of his own mouthing off?! He's a stupid fool.

  • (Part 4) Then it dawned on me why suddenly in the last few years(Then) that the most maligned genre of music was so popular again and not just with those whom had grown up with it but young teenagers...Because their parents were into Punk! You always go against what your parents try to get you into when you're young so what would annoy these Punk -loving parents the most? PROG! It took until talking to Feargal to understand this.As for Sir Rotten. So you're not playing all old songs then?Hypocrite

  • (Part 3) Dave replied:"I liked The Beatles but not The Stones ,so no." Feargal questioned him like a detective and couldn't believe that someone younger than him had bypassed all his music so completly. "You know",F replied, "You guys make me sick. I've been trying desperately to get my 16 year old son into good music saying 'Here! Listen to 'Kick out the Jams!'or 'Fun House' or 'NY Dolls' but he's all "No Dad i want to hear ELP,Genesis and Rush!" Dave smiled but Feargal was irritated more.

  • (PT.2) I was in a queue to buy beer standing next to Feargal Sharkey,ex-Undertones,Irish punk band of the 70's-80's. After chatting a bit I told him of Dave O. who was standing by with a Yes tour shirt on and being snarled at by Bobby G. and members of J.& Mary C. muttering,"What the fuck is HE doing here?"Feargal was intrigued and asked me to introduce him. Dave had never heard of him either or any of the acts above. F asked him why he liked Prog and if he was ever into Rock.(Part 3 to come.)

  • (PT.1)I started listening to Prog again when I was tripping on phrooms at Glastonbury 2003 and decided to go see Yes whom I hadn't listened to since the 70's.My 'I didn't fight the Punk Rock Wars for this shit!'pals were outraged.Later I met their biggest fan of all time,Canadian David O. who later came to the UK in 2005 to follow Jon Anderson on tour.I took him to the John Peel Tribute concert at South Bank where New Order were headlining. He had not even heard of them and didn't approve.(cont.)

  • "Turd rock" ha ha Johnny witty as always ha ha ha. I think you were thinking of punk when you made that statement you talentless junked up old cunt.

  • Greg's got quite fat.

  • Rotten is just a tad hypocritical as he once cited Jethro Tull as an influence.

  • you some rush aswell, not that touchstone crap

  • Im so happy! Prog rock is back!! ELP are playing live, young kids are 'progging' people want to be entertained by proper musicians again. Oh im so very very happy.

  • Thanks a lot for this!!! Very nice!!!

And Johnny is rotten... He's the most self-explanatory guy in Rock

  • Johnny Rotten is still alive ? Didn't he OD? like the rest of those losers who literally

could not play there instruments. Puuulease.

  • Prog not my cup of tea? Of course not... my wife drinks tea! I prefer something a bit stronger. ELP is and was a GREAT rock band. Johnny is a turd.

  • OOPS! Sid Vicious Couldn't even play the bass!

  • Oh wait, I almost forgot! Sid Vicious could even really play the bass! That's pathetic!

  • Johnny is pathetic! He calls Prog pathetic? How about the cash grab Sex Pistols reunion, that was pathetic. No new material recorded, just a cash grab.Yes,ELP,Genesis,Tull,Asia,Dream Theater, etc. all draw very repectable numbers of fans to their shows. Punk died more of a death. Most punk bands today are nothing more than crappy power pop like Green Day.

  • Actually Johnny's just contradicting himself, he's already admitted before many times to being a fan of Magma, Can, and other experimental prog fans, and that Peter Hammill and VDGG influenced HIS music. Wuuuuuut

  • exactly, who cares what that looser and the sad english media thinks ! PROG RULES !!!

  • Hey Johnny go hide under a rock, Emerson Lake & Palmer for over 40 years have been gifted musicans who havee been breaking musical ground and paving the way for generations of rock, jazz, and classical musicans, whilst all this time you have done nothing but break their balls, get over it, and maybe take soon frigging music lessions.

  • Johnny Rotton-twat as usual!
