I love Doug's vids, but I have to say he's 100% WRONG here.

I don't care what his younger or crazy fans think. Watching this movie online and insulting it is incredibly stupid.

Doug was REALLY scraping the bottom of the barrel with his comments on his review, b/c he looked at the movie as an adult. The kids are the heroes and isn't overcoming one's fears and facing them a great message to teach children?

Jim Varney thought so and helped kids by making them laugh their fears away.

This movie has been a "thing" for me, my dad and my sister for years. We watch it together every October and just crack up. We know it 's bad, but it's just so much damn FUN. Good old-fashioned ridiculous fun. Doug ripped this movie a new one and was hilarious doing it, but that doesn't change a thing.

We unexpectedly lost my dad last month, and watching this movie will never be the same without him. But when I see these scenes, I can still hear him laughing. XD
