What do you run your gear ratio?? and what size rear tires?? because I put a 95 skidoo 500 (rotax 494) motor on a buggy (22in tires) and it was nearly impossible to take off with a ratio at 1.8 (31/17).... So I got a bigger sprocket and its better but still not there yet at 2.76 (47/17)... So when I buy the smaller gear, I want it to be RIGHT this time!... So again, What gear ratio (or teeth on each sprocket) and what size tires.. thanks for your info!!!
@calholli I think during that race I was using 45/15, or 3:1. With 22" tires you could change your front gear to 13 and keep your 47 rear and achieve 3.61:1
Then, if that's not enough, increase the rear til your achieve your goal. Don't go smaller than 12 or 13 on the front sprocket.
@solo2racer96 Oh WOW..?? Why not smaller, Any reasons other than top speed??? I already ordered a 10t..;-( .... someone else told me that they run closer to 5:1... but it lights up the tires sometimes..... My buggy is a Baja Dune 150 (dn150 check google images), and its kinda sketchy, so i'm looking for more of acceleration, burn outs and wheelies than top speed... what do you think about 47:10???
I think a 80 or 125 cc shifter cld beat this thing

That car engine sounds like a wood chipper in use.
