When I first saw this bit on the Thanksgiving parade, I was like, "Glinda and the Wicked Witch as... friends? What?" Then I got the cast recording for Christmas and I was still skeptical about it. But as time went by, I listened to it more often and fell in love with the show. I guess I can thank the Macy's parade in the long run for my love for Wicked. :)

@chloe1160 i donno i have the booklet of the cast but i lost it somewhere in my house 'n' i tried finding it and i didn't. thought i think some of the cast memebers was away so they had their backups do it but atleast i got to see the guy from 20 to 1 host play as the wizard! everyone clapped and cheered when he came on :)

@ScrapNfight i know what you mean. i haven't actually seen WICKED (i've wanted to so desperately) but i've seen other stage shows and that atmosphere is something that really can't be experienced anywhere else. all the wonder and magic. the best thing i can say about a WICKED film would be the chance to preserve some semblance of this musical for years ahead when we won't be able to see it performed.

@greengoblin200 the mics are attached to the heads. The cast has no mics because it's outside it's hard to hook up mics outside because of the weather. But the leads have little mics that come up behind them and usually come out of their hairline. They're really small, I've had to wear one before. Strong but sooo powerful.

I don't deny the truthfullness of what you're saying - of course it's popular and people are crying at the end. But popular in and of itself does not necessarily equate with quality. I can guarantee you that the folks involved in this production understand that the emotions are false and the tears ripped out of their ducts with pliers. (Is it so hard to believe that people work at jobs they hate because the pay is good)? I can only repeat - take a basic music ed. class and learn TRUE emotion.
