  • i got an 85' olds cutlass supreme with a 305 adjusted carburator. for me, as my 1st car at age 16, it is good enough. has enough power to chirp the tires when i tromp on it and leave a decent 5-7 foot rubber mark with 1 wheel, and is quite relyable when it comes to highway use, along with winter use. before me, the owner never drove this car in the winter and i do not see why! i just want to look for a 350, maybe even bigger. just a little somthing more to show off. nice burnout by the way :)

  • @kowal789 thats awesome, check out my 72 cutlass its my first car also

  • what size tire 86 442 4 on the floor 4 barrel dual exhaust 235 65 r15 motor 307 small block there will be no other car like it again

  • What size tire 205-65-15?

  • That was a damn slow 442 engine..

  • I had a little more than a mild Mondello package on a bored 72 455 blk /400 tran-10blt 373, in an 87 442 ...even 12's all day on street tires, Union Grove Wisconsin, drove there & home from Chicago ....So much for so little.

  • not bad, check mine..

  • At 28 seconds its blowing black smoke that bad?

  • @Graycole11 burning rich, probably a carbed motor, or else the ECU had a screw up. not a big deal

  • P.U. - I smell Chlorox.

  • stock 442 with a 307........

  • I wish I could do that with my manual 69 Buick :-(. There's the only good thing about an auto

  • @snowman4839 turn your foot sideways with your heel on the brake, and your toes on the gas, then dump the clutch in 2nd. Its easy to the same thing with a manual transmission.

  • @KLewisChef I've done some research since I posted that and doing that makes sense. I just wish I had some more power to do one with :-). 230ft-lbs @ 1600rpm and 150hp @ 4200rpm (chevy 250 I6) isn't going to get me a good burnout. I'll be lightin em up after I put the 4 barrel and turbo on it though :-)))))))

  • were those bicycle tires on that thing?

  • Thats has positraction? Nice clean lines!

  • my god, why is everyone crying about the "liquid" on the road...

come on, lets face it, both you and i know a 442 can lite 'em up anywhere you really want to, but is it really necessary to put more strain on ur car than u have to, just for some "who's-who" car people on youtube?!?!?!

my two cents is that it was a great burnout, and i enjoyed it!!!!

    Go Fast, Go Olds,

    OldsPowered69

  • True dat;-)

  • @OldsPowered69 i agree who cares!! i had an 86 cutlass brougham in high school that would do the ol one wheel wonder but if there was just a little moisture then both would spin. and who wants to see a burnout with one spinning? 2 tires equals more smoke!! i got another 86 now with a 355 and the rear tires are 13.5 wide each and itll light them up anytime i want.. all u haters can eat a dick

  • had to wet her up alittle bad ASS

  • that had a 350 in it in the video ran 13.7, see ur mistaken on the 403 put one in ran 12.55 and that wasnt even tunning the crab yet and the 403 looks extacly like stock too same thing people over look it but its an awsome motor short stroke huge bore

  • @69olds468 what kind of tires and wheels are those. i really like the car too

  • @69olds468 what was the big deal.back in the 80s.if u said its a 305..people were like no its a 307..lol

  • @5tonyvvvv see, i had it showen to me, if you look on a 305 motor, the motor oil tube is in a different spot then the 307. the 307's i do believe had it more to the right of the motor if you opened the hood and it stuck out i think. mine, since i havent drove my car in a while cause i lent it out to a friend in need, i am not certin on its location but i do know that it is in a different spot then the 307. easiest way to tell a 305 from a 307. and the card from the shop read a 305 chevy motor :)

  • you can build a 307 into a great motor w/ the edelbrock heads & get adjustable valvetrain + sick cam.. even better do a 350 olds and it will look stock..403 are bad option cause they fry crank/rod bearings since the blocks weak 2 bolt bearing cradles cant handle big power (even the better '77's).....skip all the aftermentioned old school BS and drop in an junkyard Denali/Escalade LSX + carb

  • I am currently working on semi-restoring an 86 cutlass supreme brougham. i bought it w/o a motor, but i found one in a cadillac that is exactly the same as the one that was origonally in the cutlass. (both olds 307s VIN code Y, RPO code LV2) the body is in wonderful shape and has most every option. i am wanting to keep it stock and make a cruiser out of it. so, why does everyone hate the 307, and would anyone suggest i do something else? i am NOT going to race it or do burnouts.

  • the 307 doesnt have the power the bigger motors had .. however its still a strong as hell motor which holds together forever .. i dont personally find they even work that bad .. its just a 350 is a better motor, however if your just going to cruise around with it the 307 will be more then enough .. reliable, tough , simplistic and parts are abundant.

  • @2fit661cars you want something that makes the car roll put in a 4 cylinder, from what I understood most NON 442/Hurst/Salon cutlass's from that period had 305's or 6 cyl.The 307 is fine for reasonable mileage and accessibility to parts and a little exhaust growl.Take extra care of just about any engine and it will last 4 ever.I f you don't mind being whipped by 90% of the cars out there at the light go original. you will be challenged every day by all ages ! new VS old just a fact

  • I've got the same 307. Don't embarrass it putting the water box down. I know and you know they were alright compared to other 80's, but are pretty anemic compared to todays cars. Don't trash it. Too nice of a car. Just enjoy it.

  • @aggieranch We all know the 80's 442's were anemic,

comical actually, compared to 5.0 mustangs,IROCS & Trans ams of the 80's I took my 87 442 (great shape) (stock) to Union Grove Wisconsin, the best pass was 17sec. I thought even after the late 70's - mid 80's performance drought Olds, responded weakly coming out of that hole. The Quad 4 was their best effort.

  • @tjfreak yea bro those 190hp IROCs were badass

  • @cmiller8789 at that time that's what was (sadly) "bad ass" factory.

  • Never understood why people do this to their cars or bikes. Still don't.

If that's a 307, it was probably a pool of cooking oil on the ground.

  • 307cui in it? ;D

  • who needs liquid 2 burn out?????? i got raw HP wit my 85 Pontiac Grand Prix

  • good 4 u douche

  • the liquid isnt to help the tires spin, its bleach to get the most amount smoke. clorox on tires makes 5 times the smoke.

  • what exahsut is oon that thing !?

  • that black smoke coming out hte exaust at 0:27 didnt look good

  • white or blue smoke is bad, black smoke is just a rich mixture (probably dumps a lot of extra gas when the 4 barrel opened).

  • white smoke means it burnin water black its overloading blue its burning oil

  • acts like its overloading

  • cool

  • can someone help me out i have a1983 cutlass with a stock 307 i dnt have the money 2 completely rebuild it so wut can i do thats not to expensive to gain HP and get better performance?

  • my dad had a 442 same as that one super nice body but shit 305 ended up sellin it to a black guy who though in a 400 small blook

  • cool, too bad tires aren't cheap :(

  • Lame....my golfcart can burnout with liquid too.

  • loose the liquids

  • dude i love that i am trying to find one down here in arkansas. Its nearly imposible.

  • Haha...i have a 87 442 olds ill sell you..paragould AR

  • ya that was a 307 because that was only first gear watch my video. i do a brake torque and it goes into third gear

  • I got a 86 it only the 307 in it cut the exhaust off im re building it with a 383 4 speed, flowmasters ,what you got in that?

  • i also have an 86, do you suggest flowmasters?

  • THATS NICE

  • Niice. Looks like it's time for some new rubber pal!

  • at 27 seconds watch the exhaust do a burnout to

  • Not possible...

  • Its probably a 307. They have to have water to do a burnout like that!

  • got the same one. fully loaded. 51,000 miles. MINT. fast as a motherfuck

  • any car can burn out with water on the ground that dosent show power duhhhh

  • Awesome, im an olds guy and appreciate that bigtime!! 1983 Hurstt with 403 .30 over nice ride nice sound.

  • Nice dude, what are you running in your '86 307 or 350 Rocket? Had an '87 442 Charcoal Grey T-tops, loaded like yours. Had the 307 with flowmaster 40's and true duals with no cats. Sounds like you've got flowmasters on yours. Nice Olds man!

  • nice, but doing burnouts in standing water is never that cool.

  • i think its bleach
