To every little scrawny kid playing the blues on here. Playing the blues means you have to open some bruises up, and puke your feelings at me, not play through your pathetic scales..
you are on the right track. there is hope that some younger players have good taste in music. hope you help bring it back to a new generation. check out my guitar videos as well.
im around the same age as you...17 im guessing? but i cant help but comment on that apostrophe zappa shirt you have on. didnt know there were many others with good taste our age nowadays
Sounds nice man! Keep it up! One thought....why don't you use your pinky finger? It works, right? It makes some stretches a bit easier. Nice sound though.
Nice phrasing. The longer the silences, the more meaningful the stabs are. Love That strat! I'm 58 and it blows my mind to see so many young players so hot!
WOW.... great... playing... that guitar has a really great responce and tone what kind is it...?? I am kinda new and are starting out.... you have any tips or advice for a begginer...?? i am kinda having a hard time with it and could use some help.... Any advice would be aprecatied... (Thanks)
@brucenunn37 Um yeah. Learn your scales and theory and the rest will almost fall into place. Practice everything with a clean tone until you can make it sound crisp and take your time and don't try to play to fast speed will come naturally.
@brucenunn37 From one beginner to another, learn your major and minor pentatonics and get em all memorized. each position is useful for soloing. Once you learn each of those scales figure out what keys work with what scales and you're off to a great start. Start slow and build your way up!
first. sorry for the spelling and gramma mistakes im a 14 year old boy from denmark.
so i was at the music store today and i had the choice of buying some duncan design pick ups and some regular ones. the duncan design picks was strange it was rail picks and i want to know which one i should buy.
@OGfromskp the duncans are probably a little heavier and gainier than the others so that just comes down to personal preference. I personally would go with a Duncan in the bridge and the others for the mid and neck position
Damn man! You can play some killer blues licks. I've been playing guitar for a long time & I still can't play that fluently. I can play several Sabbath songs with solos but when the solos come around I have to slow it down. Anyway, great playing there.
No offense taken, but I never said Sabbath was a blues band. They are the founders of Heavy Metal. But Iommi & Co. were called Earth before Sabbath in which they were a blues band. That being said, Iommi does fuse many blues licks into his leads, especially on their first self, titled E.P.
I was afraid this would be the typical "teenager-in-the-bedroom-shredding-around-on-his-monster-metal-pedal-and-calling-it-blues" routine. But this was actually pretty good. Decent phrasing, good tone, clever licks...I could tell at some points that you were struggling to nail some runs, but I completely understand that because I have days like that all the time.
I really enjoyed listening to it! It made me want to pick up my guitar and start playing.
Aw, man....give the lad a chance. Be grateful anyone younger than 50 even wants to play the blues. Mr. Elwood Blues may be fearfully right by saying that Blues will only reside in the classical section of your local public library....don't squash the fellow....encourage him to grow....keep playing, young sir.
i watch alot of blues solos on here for kicks, and its usually the same boring crap, but man that had a lot of feel and was simply great playing man. keep it up
