  • JESSE A CHRISTAIN??? OMG!! IM GONNA KILL MYSELF!!!!

    POW!!! IM DEAD!!!!

  • I really hope their new album is better than the shit they've been writing the past couple years. Let's hope Jesse can turn this band around.

  • My favorite fucking song ever. My only wish ever was to see this song played live, and now I think there is a chance. I hope to god.

  • Jesse left KE back in the day to be with his wife - he couldn't take the separation. Not because he "blew" his voice out. He is an amazing singer and can out scream Howard anyday.

  • @mandalena119 hes in the band again now

  • This album kick ASS!!!

  • Oh no - the whole which vocalist is better debate all over again...

By the way, this the band's best fucking song ever!

  • @SepulTeraHead hard to choosea fav song on this album. self revoloution is up there too. but if i had to choose this is my fav too. so brutal and passionate the clean vox are a blended in nicely. not the same scream-verse, sing-chorus pattern formula that they use later on. think jesses lyrics are 10 x better than howards. they are both good singers but lyrical content is something that no one else seems to mention in the comparisons

  • Howard suck ass compared to Jesse

  • @bandit7772 Two completely different types of vocalists. Howard is great at what he does, Jesse is great at what he does.

  • I think what happened to Jesse is he blew his voice out on tour, cause he screams at 200% all the time.

  • Return of the king! Welcome back Jesse!!! :D

  • 1:21 - 1:41 Killswitch's version of the pokemon battle music XD Such a band!!!

  • I like Jesse but Howard is soooo much better, I lost respect for killswitch today for trading. Howard can sing AND scream

  • @DJuron96 they did not throw him out he left the band himself due to personal reason

  • @DJuron96 I used to say the same thing. Jesse's screams take some getting used too, but once you do. They are soooo damn amazing! And yeah Howards vocals were arguably my favorite in Metal... He will be missed.

  • @DJuron96 They didn't trade. Howard left the band because of health problems and not really feeling like writing music. He needs a break after a decade of touring. And its better that they get Jesse who has potential then some guy that no one knows about. Give the new album a chance.

  • @DJuron96 i feel the same exact way dude. im so sad

  • Fucking right Jesse is back!

  • i love how Jesse puts Jesus and god at the center of his songs, it displays how zealous he is for god and his holiness, i love this guy so much, i think its a great direction for the band hes back, Howard was a great guy and song writer but i think Jesse with his positive outlook and pointing out what he sees is better than anything that can be asked from anyone, he stays within genre too which is amazing about it, he truly is a musical genius

  • @imdafootballdude what jesse is a christian??? i hope not.....and i dont think he is

  • @natas2727 look at his face book.. he is

  • @LeafsBlade wow that kinda sucks considering i am the furthest thing from christian.....

  • @LeafsBlade but i tend to look at his lyrics in more of a spiritual aspect than religious or christian.fuck i still like him just a lil disappointed.

  • @natas2727 Why be disappointed? God is real my friend. But i wont preach to you. I am not that kind of Christian. Jessie expresses his Love of God in his lyrics, he puts his heart and soul into every word, note whatever into his music. Also alot of his lyrics are pointing out alot of whats wrong with this world. (Times of Grace - Live in Love for example, most songs in this album). Its no different than really any other song out there.

  • @natas2727 PLUS you dont have to be christian to understand and feel a positive message :D so i say.. Enjoy the music

  • @LeafsBlade no need to tell me to enjoy something i already do...just in different light.

  • @imdafootballdude Well said Brotha.. Times of Grace was my first reintroduction to Jesse's lyrics... i know alot of that too was Adam D. But relistening to this album.. and putting my mind to it (and in the last serenade video.. he is Always looking up when he sings. I cant wait to hear new KSE.. I felt it when Adam D and Jesse did Times of Grace... I knew one day he would return. IT will be amazing to hear and see

  • :DDD

  • 6 people are just barely breathing..

  • FUCKING RIGHT JESSE IS BACK !!!!

  • Can't believe the news! So awesome that he is back! \m/

  • Is Jesse singing this song or howard??

  • @0NLYUSEmeTROLL Jesse is. This was the last album he worked on with KsE before Howard came along.

  • WELCOME BACK, JESSE!!

  • just so y'all know KSE reunited with Jesse they announced it today

  • This is borderline fucking melodeath.. I've been missing this entire half of KSE

  • Pfft, Jesse>Howard x10, his screams redline, intense as fuck, Howard is good but doesn't have the whole score like Jesse

  • good song to kill dragons 2.

  • HOWARD AND JESSE BOTH BRONG SOMETHING TO THE TABLE STOP FIGHTING OVER IT and yes i am black but to bring color into the picture is wack this aint 1957

  • @neverbleedtre Well said, Howard and Jesse are both equally awesome in my book, they have different styles, but thats what I love about them, I can pick from different albums depending on what kind of mood I'm in, and people bringing color into the picture is just plain stupid, music is heard, not seen, unless you have really good drugs.

  • @Azazaelthefallen hell yea bro

  • @neverbleedtre shut the fuck up retard, youre not going to stop all arguments with your one youtube comment.

  • @thychaos ok bro dont have a period attack lol peace

  • @neverbleedtre just putting morons in their place.

  • Favorite song. Out all all the songs including Howard.

    I think they're both fantastic.

  • Rotten seagull poo

  • @burzum56 Of course a black metal fan would say that.

  • @shockofhyperbole well yeah, of course. we're used to a much higher caliber of artistic worth and depth in our music.

  • çok sikiciymiş gardaş powerful team good work evribodi angaradan selamlar ayıkkksssss

  • @MultiJeffhardy14 siktir git amina koyarim yaraaam

  • I think howard is secretly morpheous...

  • @HorseSlabsRare "I'm not sure if you're ready to see what I want to show you, but unfortunately you and I have run out of time" I AM WAITING FOR YOU

  • Alright people, I know were trying to support the band, but ToG has been out for almost a year now, I think everyone who cares already knows

  • @BasslineDrums

alright fine then, people go check out Jesse's band The Empire Shall Fall and their new album!!!

  • Jesse is just vicious as fuck.

  • I love Killswitch, for both of their singers, but Jesse's work with the band is flawless. Guttural, but extremely passionate.

  • jesse was brutal.Howard is pop "brutal".

  • @MrMethadrine Howie is a fucking teddy bear, they're soul shit since no more Jesse Leach.

Thanks for hearin ear-to-ear on this shit

  • for anyone who misses jesse, hes back with adam and joel, TIMES OF GRACE!!!!!!!!

  • Personally, i think that Jesse's better in the studio on screaming and writing lyrics.

Howard's good live but writes too much on relationships and shit. Wish he changed that. I say they hire Jesse for lyrics. and keep Howard for singing.

  • i really wanna bitchslap sum ppl who keep judging howard and jesse seriously makes me wanna quit listening to killswitch for fuck sake shut up..killswitch rocks no matter what singer

  • Intro is sooooo awesome

  • I remembered this song last night when I was trying to sleep and I was sick and I couldn't breath that good. I had trouble breathing and I was scared because I was just barely breathing. And I dint close my eyes because I was scared that I would stop breathing while I was asleep. So I saw the images of the t.v. so I can forget about it.

  • His screams are so amazing!

  • how could somebody give this song a negative response jesse MADE kse

  • dont get me wrong howard is awesome but jesse really captured what killswitch should be

  • I like the first album - Killswitch Engage (2000) that was some incredible shit. This album brought more clean vocals to the table and indecently, he used this album to express his emotions to 9/11 victims.

    Great vocalist & great lyrics.

NO offense to 'howard' lovers. But he lacks so much of the insightful & spiritual side that jesse taps into.

  • This is way heavier than the new stuff, but Howard is awesome, haha Holy Diver..

  • no jesse started another band called seemless

  • Nothing against howard, but my opinion is with Jessie... they would have reached a level of greatness that makes legends, not that there not but they could have went to a whole other wave... either way kse is a band that stands above all others... just wish Jessie wouldn't of left :/

  • @toeachaneternity8 just wondering!! i heard he died is that true?

  • @ej646ej Who, jesse? NO he's alive and breathing - and same with Howard. Just check Jesse's new bands (TESF & TOG)

  • @toeachaneternity8 Agree.

  • I love a KSE, Jesse or Howard i dont care. But the last kse album was very disappointing

  • 0- 3:03 - great song. 3:04 - 5:43 - fucking great song...

  • keep in mind Howard isn't in complete control of the band, I'm sure their music changed together as the band's choice. just saying.

  • Thanks for putting up the lyrics but your spelling isnt great. Descend into hysteria or To the voice of hatred just saying. But the main thing is I am almost sure he is saying "Seek the images" but I can't be for sure.

  • @SuperShaunboi i agree but all of the sites that i have looked for the lyrics in say see the images and i think it's the sky weeps tonight but that's what i hear lol

  • @DrZombieKiller20 oh yea it's the sky weeps tonight for sure i missed that at first glance.

  • They were so much better back then. His voice is awesome hypnotic

  • very good

  • How could people dislike this song?!

  • ez még mindig legjobb számotok

  • Jesse Leach is....God like! amazing voice!

  • a wonderful display of awesomeness... :D

  • Excellence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ah this brings back memories of when Killswitch played Heavy Metal!!

  • @TheClownx7x yes absolutely agreed

  • Extraordinaria

  • I think everyone here is being an oppinionated asshole. Both eras of Killswtich Engage with BOTH singers, both Howard and Jesse were great. Theyre just different, This era of Killswitch had a more hardcore sound to it, more screaming, less vocals, Jesse arguably is a better screamer than Howard. New Killswitch is more Melodic metalcore, with more singing, because Howard is arguably a better singer. Either way, its great, shut the fuck up and enjoy people.

  • @Myangerdoesnotdie Couldn't had said it better myself :)

  • @Myangerdoesnotdie lol its funny how you start out with saying everyone is being an opinionated asshole and then state your opinion as if its absolute. just shut the fuck up, moron.

  • jesse's penis = like's bar

    howard's penis = dislike's bar

  • @ihatetecmilenium Nobody wants to hear how much you hate Howard. If you like Jesse better, good for you, but don't shit on Howard.

  • Dopest shit everrrrr

  • I'm not here to hate, and both are good singers, but I much prefer their songs without screaming so hard that I can barely understand them. I've been into thrash, death metal, prog. rock, classic rock, and speed since my father introduced me to Metallica and various others.. From what I understand though, most "screamo" bands just have vocalists that can't sing for shit so they give head to the mic (because it sounds like they're slobbering all over it.) I can tolerate a good growl, but fuck.

  • @Phorsakyned Pussy.

  • @SaladTheBig umad?

  • @Phorsakyned No, because I have the cleansing qualities of metal with balls.

  • @DyskoDelThunderback1 This is that 0.1 percent of actual decency on the internet. Abandon all hope of further encounters of such absurdity.

  • Ever had a cut on your tongue and then ate salt and vinegar crisps? Yeah me too, Just know. Stung like a bitch.

  • Howard is amazing. Jesse is amazing. Get over it.

  • seriously, are we alive or just breathing??

  • Jesse is the only singer I have ever encountered who can take a 10 line poem and turn it in to a 6 min song...brilliant

  • @JonG215 oh this isnt howard? i should have known

  • @JonG215 there are several. probably thousands. but several under contract.

  • @JonG215 yeah and not only make itno a six minute song but also make it a beast of a song, this is one of my favorite if not my favorite beahind life to lifeless on this album

  • I think both Jesse and Howard are amazing singers

  • @LaythswitchEngage Hell yeah

  • @LaythswitchEngage

Would of rather had Jesse though in KSE. Just was meant to be. Everything he is in is good.

  • @LaythswitchEngage but sadly now we have neither :.(

  • Jesse is one of the best vocalist ever period....you show me someone is who has a sicker screaming voice...you cant because noone does

  • @Rat3dRKO21 Phil Anselmo's screaming voice>Jesse's screaming voice

  • @CornadaTV hell no man! Jesse had such a better range with his screaming. jesse hands down. i stopped listening to KSE when Phil started. It was like he was just a imitator

  • @LostAmongGiants Phil Anselmo was never in Killswitch Engage for fuck's sake. He was the lead singer for PANTERA. And no, Jesse is one of my all time favorite vocalists, but Phil Anselmo wipes the floor with him. Phil has much more range than Jesse could ever dream of having.

  • @CornadaTV That's my bad then. see i heard the new singer and was disappointed with him so his name was never worth my time to learn. i just saw the name phil in a comment and assumed that was the guys name XD

  • Times of Grace and KSE are two different styles of music. However, I like them both :) Jesse showed us a great capability of his voice. I think he is the last great singer for me.

  • This song would be amazing if it cut out 1:31-2:31. That whole minute is full of suck.

  • oh jeebus, it almost reminds me of as i lay dying at some parts o.o (which is a good thing btw)

  • I'm sorry... it's just that screamo is not good. Or well, not compared to actual metal like that of In Flames or Dark Tranquillity. I'm just saying that metalcore came last, and I know I might get a lot of hate for this, but my friend said I'd like this band since im into death metal, but it's not a good genre. Without that infernal screaming... this'd be a great band after listening to the several songs I have.

  • @oamLHeadBangerLmao Listen to Times of Grace, Jesse Leach (the singer from this album) and Adam D (the guitarist) created the band a few months back. It might appeal more to your taste as most of their songs have clean vocals.

  • Comment removed

  • @Endofserenity Aight man, I checked 'em out and you were right. They're pretty good. I always liked metalcore for it's breakdowns and epic guitar riffs... but that screaming just sounds like a complete pile of shit. Being a singer, im just a bit critical, but anyone who does "harsh" vocals will tell you that regular death metal takes way more skill then the flat screams of (most of) these shitty screamo bands here in America.

  • @oamLHeadBangerLmao listen to cradle of filth omfg that will make everything sound good lol

  • @Baalx3 Cradle of Filth is okay. I'm not too into Black Metal, though I can admit they have a lot of talent. Nymphetamine? Beautiful song dude, but just not my style. I'm more into Melodeth, personally. IMO the lyrics (at least of the Melodeth bands I listen to) are just more inspiring and intrapersonal.

  • @oamLHeadBangerLmao Dude, I respect your opinion, but you missed a big detail....THIS ISNT SCREAMO. Screamo is Bring Me The Horizon, 3OH3!, The Devil Wears Pradda, etc. Screamo is a wannabe hardcore offshoot filled with crybaby teenagers who straighten their hair, wear skinny jeans, cover their faces in makeup, and go onstage and slit their wrists. This is metal. Theres a big difference even though people dont wanna admit it. Opeth is Death Metal, but they scream sometimes. Just saying man.

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX Bring me the Horizon are not Screamo, in all fairness, you can say what you want about them, but they were Deathcore and are now, well a bit shit really. I agree with your other examples though...

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX But BMTH do straighten hair and the rest of that, so looks wise yes, music wise, no.

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX Umm... yes. Killswitch Engage is, in fact, metalcore. AKA Screamo.

  • @oamLHeadBangerLmao Bullshit, metalcore isn't screamo, it's metalcore. Do yourself a favor and don't argue, you'll never convince us otherwise.

  • @felynecomrade Ugh... why are you so naive? That's where the term "Screamo" even came from. And I'm sure most metalcore fans that actually know what they're talking about would agree, including me. I know my metalcore as well (and in case you're one of those "tester" types) All That Remains, Falling in Reverse, Trivium (even though I think they're falsely labelled), ect. So you can believe what you will, because you can never win over the internet, but metalcore is, indeed, screamo.

  • @oamLHeadBangerLmao I'm naive? You're the one who said Killswitch "is not good", never mind the fact that you got their genre wrong. "most metalcore fans that actually know what they're talking about would agree"? That's also wrong. You are the first person I've seen who thinks metalcore is screamo, everyone else I've seen knows they're 2 separate genres. Metalcore is not screamo, and Killswitch are very good. If you think otherwise, kindly keep it to yourself.

  • @felynecomrade I didn't say that they weren't good, I said that I didn't think metalcore was good. KSE might be very talented in the metalcore realm, I won't deny anything, but what I do know is that metalcore came last after a long line of well respected sub-genres such as Doom, Black, Melodeth, Extreme, Thrash, Gothic, ect. I still believe that, not metalcore, but the whole "core" genre is screamo, seeing as, yes, metalcore and screamo ARE in fact seperate genres (why argue with Google)...

  • @felynecomrade So I'll just take back what I said about them being the same (even though they are generally stereotyped to be the same), and since neither of us are obviously going to budge, I'll respectfully agree to disagree with you.

  • This reminds me of some old school death metal

  • @stevenbedell I'm aware that people like this album, such do I. Although, my argument was between me and him, for another subject. I believe you misread, for that is not why I argued with him.

  • i think they shood play this in the background of any nazi zombies game.

  • \m/

  • i was listening to this song at work and i thought damn, this is the perfect song to listen to if the 2012 apocalypse happens

  • fuck penis niggerz

  • I can barely breathe waiting for the night...

  • at 1:31 my mind was BLOWN!

  • With Jesse, Killswitch was whatever they wanted it to be. Howard turned it into crybaby mainstream "metal"

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX In the contrary it appears as if howard changed the band into something to which there are few other bands doing. From my limited knowledge, only a handful of bands have a similar sound; Soilwork, the older Sonic Syndicate, newer All that Remains, and potentially In Flames.. just to name a few, and there are probably aren't terribly many more to name.

  • @DVengence1 As each one of Howards albums came out, they moved farther and farther away from the complex, hardcore sound they were founded on. I dont even want the new album because its all singing and generic songs, nothing special anymore. You cant find songs like this from Howard. Thats just my 2 cents

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX And you believe that it wouldn't happen with Jesse in the band?

  • @Hmphisback I don't think it would've. Listening to The Empire Shall Fall and Times of Grace, Jesse still never gave into singing about girlfriends and broken hearts. Its just my opinion, if you dont agree, that's fine. Can't argue over opinions

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX I was meaning towards the fact they were getting less heavier as they progressed. Seeing "The empir shall fall" and "Times of Grace", it proves the fact that even with Jesse, they would progress and become less heavy in time.

  • @Hmphisback its all about how heavy it is huh?

  • @EternallyFalse No, but since he was pointing out how KsE was becoming less heavy and complex with Howard, I thought I would ask him if he thought even with Jesse, that they would become less heavy and complex. Also, I believe it was, too, necessary to point out that Jesse did become less heavy and complex. To me, all this talk about it "not being heavy, or hardcore enough", I've one thing to say: Give a shit, Give a shit? Not I, not I!

  • @Hmphisback Not trying to be a dick, but those dont count. The Empire Shall Fall was a hard rock/borderline metal band. They're not very heavy at all and are very different from Killswitch. And Jesse and Adam have tried extremely hard to stress that Times of Grace are NOT Killswitch. The material, the style, everything. Its supposed to be a new sound for them, and it is. You cant really compare those 2 bands to what Jesse would have become. Over time, they would have evolved. But not like Howard

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX If you can't move on, then keep it to yourself, or just stop listening to Killswitch all together.

  • @Hmphisback If Jesse had stayed on, it would have evolved into something different. That happens to all bands. But it would be much different than how it evolved with Howard. With Howard, they pretty much went mainstream. Just listen to songs like The End of Heartache and Starting Over. Those are just 2 of many examples of how they evolved into a soft, generic, mainstream sound. Random double bass, generic palm-muted strumming, and whining lyrics turned Killswitch mainstream.

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX Dude, Killswitch Engage turned mainstream with this album. They remained mainstream even after this. You want an example of mainstream "crybaby metal" from Jesse? Element of One and My last serenade. Those two are obviously mainstream by how you would describe it. If you don't believe me, then compare them to your example. Also, quit wishing for Jesse to come back. He said it himself, and he's done with KsE. Move on, and embrace Howard. At least we still have a Killswitch.

  • @Hmphisback My Last Serenade...maybe. The Element of One? Heck no. Not mainstream. We must have different definitions for mainstream my friend...and by the way: I never wished for him back. If it wasnt for Howard, I most likely wouldnt have found Killswitch. Howard has made good songs. I love My Curse, This Fire, and the Arms of Sorrow to name a few. Hes a great singer. My point was that I like Jesse better. Doesnt mean I dont like Howard.

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX Ah, I see. I suppose I misunderstood you. I thought you were a fag that goes on Killswitch videos saying "true fans would only listen to Jesse. Howard sucks dick!"

  • @Hmphisback That's probably all. No hard feelings man. Yeah. Well l, I can see where some fans are coming from when they say they only like one singer or the other, but I don't agree. You have to respect them both. Jesse is what got them started. He's the hardcore, passionate voice of Killswitch. Howard is what made them more famous and got them to where they are today. He's the more singing-heavy, emotional voice of killswitch. 2 different voices of the same band.

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX yeah... I was extremely disappointed with the last album... I wanted to take it back for a refund. -_-

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX Agreed. Glad someone knows what they are talking about.

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX shit yeah bro second that for sure, numb sickened eyes and temple from within is my all time fave by them dudes (old)

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX i fucking agree wholly

  • @XxInTheUnblindxX I agree with most of this, however I thought As Daylight Dies was extremely good. End of Heartache and the other self titled were pretty meh though.
