  • yuck! jsut whack an aquarian texture coated on it :D

  • If you got a brand new tom head for this demo, why did you not get a new snare head?

  • @QuickestQuickChop - Because I was trying to prove that there is an ISSUE with the SNARE HEAD. There was nothing wrong with the stock tom heads - just the snare head - so I got an unused tom head to prove what happens when you use the stock snare head. Did you listen to the video?

  • Evans heads..It's all I have to say! I really don't like any other brand of drumhead!

  • @stationmaster12 Amen.

  • if you want a coated tom head, i guess thats the way to do it :P

  • this is a man with too much time on his hands.....

  • @anidroc Amen.. although this only took about 20 minutes to setup, film, edit and upload.

  • still, those drums sound amazing, i dont really get worried by the looking

  • @Kudan26 I am glad we agree these drums sound amazing.

  • forget the tom heads...those poor cymbals!!!

  • @amusingisthedawn I tossed the sticks out before anyone else picks them up and plays cymbals / practice pads, etc with them. Sucks. That's 2 pair down, one when I got the kit, one pair for this demo. Sucks.

  • @drummerconnection dont trash those new sticks..just use a little piece of sand paper to clean off the tip..

the snare is supposed to do that, its a new product that shows you where you are hitting on your toms,so if your not perfectly centered on the head you can adjust your aim.lol.

i seen the pic on yall's facebook page..that sucks!

  • @Metal4Life572 That's a good way of looking at it, but I still think this head coating wears off EXCESSIVELY, and unlike any other drum head I've used. Cheap head.

  • @drummerconnection i agree..lol...it shouldn't do that and i wouldn't be too happy about it either. that's one reason i don't use sticks with nylon tips anymore, because they leave stick marks a lot easier in my opinion on the cymbals.

  • I like your honesty, that's great.

  • @SONORSQ2guy Thanks man, it took a lot of heart to video this, I could have swept it under the rug and moved on since I changed my snare head, but I really want to try and help others out there. Again, the kit is excellent quality - this is the only problem I've had that I found disturbing. I'm not endorsed, or paid by Crush to promote their products, so as an independent, I can speak the truth on how it is. That's what you got here.

  • Just out of curiosity, aren't the owners of Crush former members of ddrum? Maybe thats just a rumor but I had the SAME problem with the snare head on my ddrum Reflex kit. It was extremely annoying especially because I bought evans onyx heads for my toms. It was within minutes just like this video. Then I just went and bought an evans snare head.

  • @NYTROOPA As a matter of fact, we had the exact same issue on the ddrum reflex kit also. Check out our ddrum reflex review here on Youtube. I can't post a link dude to youtube's stupid comment policy.

  • that's nasty.

  • @TheCuddlyKnife The markings on the heads are just about as nasty as my rolls... I need to practice.

  • @drummerconnection lol that's funny... now back to practice you!!!

  • This would drive me mad too, lol. D: Nice kit though!

  • its about sound, not look...

  • @joeyjuniorjunior I agree 100% but why would you buy a nice looking kit if everything sounded the same? This is just a tip to help future Crush Acrylic owners from marking up their kits. I changed to a Remo Coated Ambassador when I first got the kit and the other tom heads after a month of playing are nowhere near this bad.

  • @joeyjuniorjunior Thats true. But think about it,i never used coated heads that would wear out that fast.He hit that thing for like a minute and the sticks and head turned white.
