@MasterArathi I'm in New Hampshire and rabbits like the cold they can't withstand the heat. as long as you have a way for them to hide from the wind they will be fine and happy
My wife and I have had egg layers for two years now and started our bee hives this spring. We're getting ready to add meat rabbits and chickens. Your video is pretty good, we wasn't sure on how to care for the rabbits during the winter so it's nice to see you can just leave them out.
Putting the rabbit colony on top of your garden during the winter....Absolutely Brilliant, just started my own meat operation, 2 doe flemish giant/zealand mix, and 2 bucks, pure bred flemish giants. Im definately going to try this!! Thanks for sharing
Great setup, I've enjoyed watching your videos. I just started my own small meat rabbit operation, with two does and one buck all palomino. Are you saving the hides? Can't wait to see more updates, how are the bees?
@Jennik423 Good luck with your rabbits and thanks for the comment. I have started to freeze the hides and save them up to try and tan them or give them to someone that wants to. The bees are all bundled up for the winter and my fingers are crossed that they will make it.
mine would fight 2 bad ..but a late litter needing grow room could be raised well, mine start fighting at 4months,about as long as winter last here south..neighbor has been trying to give me a old dog run..now that I also join the out-O-job ranks --glad I got garden and rabbits ..kept 3f and 1m ..girls all oversized cottentail markings and a big black buck ,bred the whites out just incase this tagging garbage forced on farms hits ,I'll turn em loose,& hope the turkey vul's don't grab up.5* fav !
Cool Wabbit setup Bum : ) I used to have a bunch of rabbits & I never bred them in bunches, just by themselves. Now when I say I, at the time I was around 10 years old lol, so I'm going from memory, though I did win 1st in the County fair, 1st in Regionals, & 3rd in state with one of my Wabbits. Anyway I don't know if they need their own place to want to have a litter, maybe they do, I never did it any other way and I did it (they, lol) several times a year. I killed more wabbits than Elmer Fudd
@theeastwatch No 4 girls and a boy ( Hugh Heffener and his playboy bunnies). The bottom has a roll of chainlink fence layed out flat so they can't dig under it and nothing can get in, although the top is open for now, I don't have a huge predator problem, a fisher cat or a mink here and there but they could get into a bank vault if they wanted anyway
i love it and rabbit

Where are you located? How cold does it get there to be able to keep them out all winter?

@outofworkbum Great to know, I'm in Canada, and well it gets quite cold in the winter. I have the perfect spot to protect them from the elements.

@bryanscroggins rabbits are super easy if you just let them be, they may not sit in your lap but they just do what rabbits do best.

All girls? Yeah I figured there would be fighting...
Do you fence into the ground to keep predators out?
I'm sure they enjoy the rooom.
