Oulja boards are bullshit. Basically it "works" two different ways: first, the more a person wants to focus on a particular thing (as here trying not to move the fingers), the less chance he/she succeed to do so. Try it. Secondly, if two or more people share a mutual knowledge of the preferred "answers" from the dead, it's not hard to move hands that way - even if everyone moves their hands just a little, it can be perceived as "paranormal" by all.
I have used a Ouija bored once on my own I didn't have enough of my own energy to evoke spirits. I usually have 2 or more serious people with me. If they aren't serious don't involve them. Unless you want to upset someone or something out of your control. Me and my brother notice that if you have something bad in the bored it will usually do figure 8's or go around the bored violently.

I have had bad experiences, then i could start playing the board, and decided to teach myself how to play it the right way, how to protect myself before, and while i play the Ouija! No bad spirits anymore< but even when i do use the Ouija bad spirits tend tow ant to come through. BUT i just send the away.
